    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for managing transmissions using multiple component carriers (CCs) in which transmissions using one or more of the CCs may span less than a full transmission time of a slot or other transmission time interval. A UE may signal a capability to transmit such transmissions, and one or more capabilities related to carrier aggregation that may be used by a base station for scheduling of transmissions on different CCs. In the event that overlapping transmissions on two or more CCs exceed a maximum power threshold, various techniques for dropping at least a portion of one or more transmissions of one or more CCs are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication at a device. A wireless device may be configured with a transmission time interval (TTI) bundling parameter. The device may then identify one or more resources for an uplink (UL) control channel based on the TTI bundling parameter (e.g., using either an implicit or an explicit indication from another wireless node such as a serving cell of a base station) and transmit the UL control channel using the identified resources. The device may also identify a downlink control information (DCI) format based on the TTI bundling parameter. For example, a resource allocation granularity level may be associated with the bundling parameter, and the length of a DCI field may depend on the resource allocation granularity level.

The method also includes receiving a resource assignment on a DL carrier of the CA configuration, and transmitting an aperiodic sounding reference signal (A-SRS) using the one or more carriers of the auxiliary UL configuration based at least in part on the received resource assignment. Another method is performed by a UE having a CA configuration and an A-SRS configuration, including receiving a resource assignment on a DL carrier in the CA configuration, detecting a trigger for transmitting an A-SRS, determining UL resources of the A-SRS configuration for transmitting the A-SRS, and transmitting the A-SRS on the determined UL resources.

The UE determines at least one of an index (j) of a target received power of a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) to be transmitted in the TTI and a path loss scaling factor, an index (qd) of a reference signal used for measuring path loss for the carrier frequency, or an index (l) of a power control process used for the carrier frequency. The UE then calculates the reference PH based on one or more of the determined at least one index, and reports, in the TTI, a PHR including the reference PH for the carrier frequency.

In one example, the uplink short burst may have a slot position that at any position of the uplink centric slot. The grant may indicate, explicitly or implicitly, the position within an uplink centric slot that should be assigned to an uplink short burst.
