  • Patent number: 10060227
Abstract: Provided in some embodiments are systems and methods for developing a hydrocarbon reservoir. A method may include, for each of a plurality of prosed hydrocarbon wells, determining a reservoir entry point corresponding to a location at a top limiting surface of the hydrocarbon reservoir, determining a reservoir exit point corresponding to a location at a bottom limiting surface of the hydrocarbon reservoir, and determining a well trajectory that includes a path that extends downward gradually from the reservoir entry point at the top limiting surface to reservoir exit point at the bottom limiting surface. The method also including generating a field development plan (FDP) for the hydrocarbon reservoir, the FDP including development information for each well of the plurality of wells, including the determined well trajectory for the well.

  • Publication number: 20180039607
Abstract: An intelligent and versatile information exchange platform provides a delivery service operable to perform, in a network environment, processing a document in a first process context according to a first itinerary associated with a sender, including determining whether any receiver policy rule is applicable to the document. If so, the delivery service can determine a second itinerary in view of the receiver policy rule and automatically transition to act as a receive service for the receiver such that the document is processed is a second process context according to the second itinerary associated with the receiver. When no receiver policy rule is found or applicable to the document based on the document type of the document, the delivery service can deliver the document to the receiver under the first process context.

  • Patent number: 9330071
Abstract: Tag merging enables a hosting entity such as a website to determine one or more tags that are logically-related to a particular tag and to present these tags to users to enable the users to vote whether to merge a logically-related tag with the particular tag. The hosting entity may determine these logically-related tags in multiple ways. For instance, the hosting entity may analyze keyword-to-keyword similarity data, item-overlap data, or may employ stemming logic. When the entity presents these tags to a user, the user may vote to merge the particular tag with one or more of the presented logically-related tags. When merged, items associated with the selected logically-related tag may become associated with the particular tag, or vice versa. Additionally, the selected tag may be removed from the items previously associated with the selected tag, or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 9245271
Abstract: Tag scoring for elements associated with a common tag enables a user to conduct a tag search and view a listing of elements associated with the tag. The listing can be ordered by each element's tag score. To create such a tag score, users may associate an element with one or more tags that characterize the element. A tag score may then be assigned to this element for each assigned tag and may be based on a multitude of factors. These factors may include a number of times that the element has been tagged with the assigned tag and users' votes on the accuracy of the assigned tag to the element. Tag-scoring factors may include, among others, an age of a tag associated with the element, a click rate for the element, a customer review of the element, a sales rank for the element, or an availability of the element.

  • Patent number: 8386336
Abstract: An online merchant can use a product review to customize a solicitation of a product suggestion. If a customer reviews a product unfavorably, the customer might be solicited to suggest alternate products to the reviewed product. If a customer reviews a product favorably, the customer might be solicited to suggest accessories or other products related to the reviewed product. The products suggested by the customer might then be utilized to recommend the suggested products to other customers. Information provided by a customer in a product review or other data might also be utilized to customize a product recommendation for the customer. If a customer reviews a product unfavorably, a recommendation might be provided to the customer for an alternate, or substitutable, product for the reviewed product. If a customer reviews a product favorably, a recommendation might be provided to the customer for related products or accessories to the reviewed product.

  • Patent number: 8170916
Abstract: Tag suggestions enable a hosting entity such as a website to determine one or more tags to suggest to a user for association with a particular item within an electronic catalog. After this determination, the hosting entity may suggest the determined tags to the user. To determine these tags, the hosting entity may employ techniques to determine items related to the particular item. The hosting entity then suggests some or all of the tags associated with the related items. Additionally or alternatively, the hosting entity may determine certain metadata associated with the particular item. The entity then may suggest this metadata, or some related phrase or tag, to the user for association with the particular item. However the tag suggestions are determined, the hosting entity may rank the tag suggestions to determine which tags to present to the user or to determine an order in which to present the tags.
