  • Patent number: 10154565
Abstract: A lighting system comprises a plurality of lights, a sensor for measuring a light level associated with each light, and at least one controller for generating a light output from at least one light of the plurality of lights. The controller is adapted for adjusting the light output from the at least one light by an incremental amount to bring the measured light level closer to a target light level, which may correspond to an overall brightness for the space including the lights. Related methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9420132
Abstract: A scanner option assembly for an image forming device. The scanner option assembly comprises a housing removably attachable to a bottom of the image forming device, and a scanner assembly mounted in the housing and being positionable to receive an original for scanning. When the housing is attached to the bottom of the image forming device, the scanner assembly receives power from the image forming device with the scanner assembly being in operable communication with a controller of the image forming device for receiving instructions from and providing scan data of an image of the original to the controller. The scanner assembly includes at least one of a flatbed scanner slidably extendible and retractable through an opening of the housing, and an automatic document feeder (ADF) assembly for automatically feeding one or more media sheets into an image capture area of the scanner assembly.

  • Publication number: 20160224214
Abstract: An imaging apparatus including a user interface generating displays for optimizing a user's experience when indicating preferred options prior to performing a function. Displays for relatively large user interfaces are bifurcated into a settings pane including a plurality of settings associated with the selected function and a preset pane including a preconfigured set of settings and options for the same function. A transparent drawer—including specific settings and/or options corresponding to a setting from the settings pane—is operative to be launched and closed when the said setting has been selected and deselected, respectively. Selected options are implicitly stored and automatically summarized on the settings pane. Displays for relatively small user interfaces also feature a bifurcated display manifested by a resizable settings pane operative to expand and reduce in response to user input, the resizable settings pane featuring a summary of selected options.
