  • Patent number: 8805894
Abstract: An interactive 3-dimensional object-oriented database patient specific information storage system includes an input device, a database containing 3-dimensional meshes of objects each with an object identifier and a symptom list with each symptom having associated ones of the object identifiers of the 3-dimensional meshes of objects. An interface connected to interact with the database and the input device. The interface including a symptom input form for entering symptoms from the symptom list. The interface is designed to select 3-dimensional meshes of objects having ones of object identifiers associated with the entered symptoms and display the selected 3-dimensional meshes of objects on a symptom template. A record of the entered symptoms and the object identifiers of the associated ones of the 3-dimensional meshes of objects is created and stored.

  • Patent number: 7978889
Abstract: A method of generating a 3 dimensional object includes providing a volumetric scan of a study object as a series of image slices. An image segmentation algorithm is used to image segment each image slice into at least a first region and a second region, the first region of each image slice corresponds to a first object of the study object, and the second region of each image slice corresponds to a second object of the study object. The first region is selected from a first image slice. Regions of adjacent image slices are statistically compared to the first region using a comparison of touching regions to designate corresponding first regions in the adjacent image slices. The first region of each image slice of the series corresponding to the first object is binned to form a first binned object. A 3 dimensional object of the first binned object is formed.

  • Publication number: 20080043015
Abstract: A volumetric rendering system including a user electronic interface device having data storage for storing volumetric scan data, a server device including a volume rendering software program and having data storage for receiving the volumetric scan data from the user electronic device, and a network coupling the user electronic device to the server device. A volume rendering engine is coupled to the server device for creating a volume rendered image from the volumetric scan data. A video streaming engine is coupled to the volume rendering engine for receiving and encoding the volume rendered image as a video. The video streaming engine includes a video streaming protocol for streaming the video to the user electronic interface real-time.
