  • Patent number: 5325642
Abstract: A Geodesic Hazardous Waste Containment Building provides a means for the long term isolation of toxic waste from the environment. The invention comprises a primary containment sphere, a surrounding secondary containment sphere and a means for protecting the contents of the building from natural disaster, specifically earthquake. The invention includes all of the advantages of geodesic construction providing the opportunity for cost-effective, modular construction with inexpensive building materials such as concrete. The invention further provides a double barrier of protection from environmental contamination. The invention also makes possible easy inspection for leaks and a means of controlling and containing leaks should they occur.

  • Patent number: 5214921
Abstract: This invention the multiple reflection solar energy absorber makes possible the direct absorption of solar energy into a transparent working fluid, thereby heating the fluid and discharging it through a nozzle to produce power. The invention comprises a method for producing an ultra high concentration of solar flux and a means to circulate the working fluid into an interior cavity confining the ultra high energy concentration producing absorption of heat energy. The apparatus of the invention comprises a primary and a secondary solar energy concentrator, a multiple reflection chamber, a working fluid, a nozzle and thermal insulation. The invention can be constructed in several embodiments suitable for heating both liquids and gases.

  • Patent number: 4945693
Abstract: This invention the concentric dome energy generating building enclosure makes possible the passive transfer of renewable energy from the wind and the sun into mechanical and/or electrical energy. This invention provides the means for moving thermal and/or pneumatic pressure differentials created by the action of ambient energy on the dome through a conduit (32) between concentric dome walls and directing these air pressure differentials through a turbine (26) at the apex of the dome building enclosure causing the turbine to rotate thereby generating power which can be used to operate tools and equipment inside the building enclosure.
