  • Patent number: 7770507
Abstract: A method and apparatus providing an action system for a semi-automatic shotgun including a receiver having an ejection port for expelling an empty cartridge of a fired projectile. The action system includes a bolt attached to a bolt carrier, wherein the bolt and the bolt carrier are movable within the receiver and substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis. A surface is attached to at least the bolt carrier or the receiver, and a roller is positioned rearward of the ejection port and proximate the surface, wherein a resistance is provided to rearward movement of at least the bolt or bolt carrier.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 17, 2006
Date of Patent: August 10, 2010
    Assignee: Snake River Machine, Inc.

  • Patent number: 7380361
Abstract: A system and method for providing increased capacity to a firearm having an actuator operably connected to a trigger assembly is disclosed. A magazine for holding a cartridge for use with the firearm includes a plurality of tubes, each tube being defined within the magazine and including an open end. The plurality of tubes being axisymmetric about a longitudinal axis of the magazine. A retainer, mounted about the open end of the tubes and being adaptive to impede release of the cartridge from the open end of the tube, being operably meshed with the actuator wherein the retainer and the actuator cooperate to permit removal of the cartridge from one of the plurality of tubes.

  • Publication number: 20080121096
Abstract: A trigger group assembly for a semi-automatic shotgun includes a follower pin that is slideably attached to a sliding track assembly. The follower pin engages a pair of tracks to facilitate cooperation the sliding track assembly's carrier with the shell retainer of a detachable magazine in such a way that when the bolt is propelled rearward, a cartridge is released from the magazine, and when the bolt is propelled forward, the cartridge is lifted by the carrier into the path of the bolt and loaded into the chamber of the firearm.

  • Patent number: 7299737
Abstract: A method and apparatus providing an action system for a firearm. The action system includes a primary roller-lock mechanism located rearward of an ejection port. The primary roller-lock mechanism includes a bolt and a first primary roller caged within the bolt. A bolt carrier ramp is attached to a bolt carrier. A barrel extension ramp is attached to a barrel extension. The first primary roller, bolt carrier ramp, and barrel extension ramp cooperate to effectively delay movement of the bolt and bolt carrier in response to firing of the firearm.
