  • Publication number: 20240106579
Abstract: Various examples pertaining to soft hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback reporting density, enabling mechanism, processing timeline and codebook construction in mobile communications are described. An apparatus, implementable in a user equipment (UE), receives one or more transmissions from a network node. The apparatus generates one or more soft HARQ feedbacks corresponding to the one or more transmissions and then transmits the one or more soft HARQ feedbacks to the network node.

  • Publication number: 20240031071
Abstract: Various examples pertaining to soft hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) schemes, signaling methods and reporting granularity in mobile communications are described. An apparatus, implementable in a user equipment (UE), receives a transmission from a network node. In response to receiving the transmission, the apparatus generates a soft HARQ. The apparatus then transmits the soft HARQ to the network node. In generating the soft HARQ, the apparatus selects a measurement method, a metric and a reporting granularity. Accordingly, the apparatus generates the soft HARQ using the selected measurement method, the selected metric and the selected reporting granularity.

  • Publication number: 20240015542
Abstract: Examples pertaining to flexible interruption for layer 1 (L1) measurement in mobile communications are described. A user equipment (UE) reports to a network a need for an interruption in communications between the UE and the network. The UE then performs a measurement of one or more resources during the interruption.

  • Publication number: 20220131638
Abstract: Various solutions pertaining to enhancements for channel quality indicator (CQI) reporting in mobile communications are described. An apparatus implemented in a user equipment (UE) generates a CQI report using a transport block (TB) size. The apparatus then transmit the CQI report to a network. The TB size is either configured by the network or calculated by the apparatus. In case the TB size is calculated, the apparatus calculates the TB size using either a scaling factor or one or more values related to reference radio resources.

  • Publication number: 20220124536
Abstract: Various solutions pertaining to reporting of best wideband (WB) channel quality indicator (CQI) in mobile communications are described. An apparatus implemented in a user equipment (UE) calculates a value of a modified wideband channel quality indicator (WB-CQI) with respect to a wideband based on CQI values of a subset of subbands of a plurality of subbands in the wideband. The apparatus then reports the modified WB-CQI to a network. In calculating the value of the WB-CQI, the apparatus excludes one or more subbands from the plurality of subbands to result in the subset of subbands used in calculating the value of the WB-CQI. A respective CQI value of each of the excluded one or more subbands is lower than a respective CQI value of each of the subset of subbands.
