Abstract: A portable temperature-controlled device includes a housing and a controllable temperature element having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface opposes the second surface. Inside the housing, a heat sink is disposed and in contact with the first surface of the controllable temperature element, and a fan is disposed adjacent the heat sink inside the housing and configured to direct heat away from the heat sink. The portable temperature-controlled device further includes a heat spreader in contact with the controllable temperature element for thermal energy transfer. The heat sink and the fan are supported on a support member inside the housing.
