Abstract: The present disclosure relates to formwork. In a particular form the present disclosure relates to lost column formwork. In one aspect, there is provided a lost column formwork shell portion comprising an elongate body comprising a generally u-shaped cross-section shape comprising a pair of lengthwise extending edges, an inner side and an outer side, and at least one spacer element depending from the inner side of the shell portion and projecting inwardly. In a further aspect, there is provided a lost column formwork shell assembly comprising a pair of shell portions joined along their lengthwise extending edges. In a further aspect, there is provided a lost column formwork assembly a shell assembly, bracing and reinforcement. The lost column formwork assembly ensures that the required axis distance is maintained across its length, is braced against bulging under the hydrostatic pressure of concrete filling, and is quicker and easier to assemble than commonly known alternatives.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a formwork panel assembly to mold upwardly extending building features such as columns or walls, that extend between adjacent floor slabs. In one aspect, the formwork panel assembly comprises at least two surface forming elements, and at least one connecting element adapted for removable location between the two surface forming elements, where adjacent edges of the surface forming elements abut against the connecting element so that the resulting formwork assembly forms a single, continuous casting surface, and wherein in use, the or each connecting element is separately releasable from the formwork assembly once a concrete surface has been formed.

Abstract: This invention relates to a safety screen for use on the side of a multistorey building during the construction thereof, and in particular to a means for supporting a safety screen with respect to the building. The safety screen assembly comprises a base for fixing with respect to a slab of a building, a frame means depending from the base so as to overhang an edge of the slab, and a safety screen depending from the frame means so as to be horizontally spaced apart from the edge of the slab, wherein the frame means is adapted to support a person in a position between the edge of the slab and the safety screen.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a frame for use with formwork to support the formwork for concrete casting and for stripping formwork from a concrete surface. The formwork is secured to the frame assembly such that the level at which the formwork is supported by the framework is adjustable so as to be movable between at least a first level above a floor surface selected for concrete casting, and a second level where the formwork is either away from the cured concrete (i.e. stripped) or unsupported by the frame assembly. The disclosure provides a means of both supporting formwork during concrete casting as well as a means of stripping the formwork after the concrete is cast. An associated method is also disclosed.
