Patent number: 10323675Abstract: A device with an adjustment bolt includes a bolt attachment wall, an adjustment bolt screwed with an internal thread hole of the bolt attachment wall, a locknut screwed with the adjustment bolt, a cover that surrounds the adjustment bolt and the locknut, and a stopper unit that prevents removal of the cover from the locknut. The stopper unit includes an inner circumference groove of the cover fitted around a C-shaped retaining ring, and an external circumference groove of the locknut fitting within the retaining ring. The external circumference groove includes a first groove portion having a large-diameter groove bottom that restricts contraction and removal of the retaining ring fitted within the inner circumference groove, and a second groove portion provided continuously for the first groove portion and having a small-diameter groove bottom that allows contraction and removal of the retaining ring fitted within the inner circumference groove.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2017Date of Patent: June 18, 2019Assignee: KUBOTA CorporationInventors: Hiroki Oso, Naoya Sakurai, Takumi Fukuda, Mitsugu Okuda, Wataru Iwanaga, Yusuke Suzuki, Takahiro Kajihara

Patent number: 7047929Abstract: The present invention relates to an engine and a method for producing the engine. The engine is constructed as follows. The engine interlockingly operates a pump (39, 139) for feeding fuel under pressure, by power of a crank shaft (1). A pair of gears (32a) and (32b) are arranged to be attached to a gear attaching shaft (32). The paired gears (32a) and (32b) are attached to the gear attaching shaft (32). At least one gear (32a) of the paired gears (32a) and (32b) constitutes a gear train (14, 114) through which the power of the crank shaft (1) is transmitted to the pump (39, 139). The method for producing the engine is constructed as follows. The method uses a common part for each of the gear trains (14) and (114) so as to produce engines of an injection pump specification and a common rail specification and alternatively manufactures the gear trains (14) and (114) through the common part.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 2003Date of Patent: May 23, 2006Assignee: Kubota CorporationInventors: Masahiro Aketa, Wataru Iwanaga, Yuzo Umeda

Patent number: 7044088Abstract: A multi-cylinder engine comprises a cylinder block (1) provided with a side water passage (3) oriented in a front and rear direction and passing by each of cylinder walls 12 so as to introduce cooling water from a radiator into a cylinder jacket 4 laterally through the side water passage (3). The side water passage (3) has front and rear end portions provided with front and rear openings (3a), (3b) which communicate the side water passage (3) with a water pump (10). Thus even if the water pump (10) is arranged at either of the front and rear end portions, the opening of the side water passage 3 near the end portion where the water pump (10) is arranged can communicate the side water passage (3) with the water pump (10). And a method for alternatively producing multi-cylinder engines, uses the cylinder block (1) as a common part.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2004Date of Patent: May 16, 2006Assignee: Kubota CorporationInventors: Masahiro Aketa, Wataru Iwanaga, Hiroyuki Anami
