    Abstract: A method (300, 400, 500) of and a message service gateway (204) for controlling delivery of a message service provided by a service provider application (202) as a value-added service to an end user having a device with messaging capability. The method (300, 400, 500) comprises the steps of determining which one of predefined categories the service provider application (202) is, and controlling the delivery of the message service to the end user based on the determined category of the service provider application (202). A system comprising at least the above message service gateway (204), a service provider application (202), one or both of a Short Message Service Center (SMSC) (206) and a Multimedia Message Service Center (MMSC) (208), and an end user having a device with messaging capability is also provided.
