  • Patent number: 11986753
Abstract: A filter assembly includes a filter housing, a filter housing lid, a filter cartridge, an endplate, and a seal member. The filter housing defines a first cavity and comprises a return passage in fluid communication with the first cavity. The filter housing lid is selectively coupled to the filter housing and defines a second cavity coextensive with the first cavity. The filter cartridge is positioned within the first cavity. The endplate is coupled to a first end of the filter cartridge. The endplate is configured to interface with the filter housing. The seal member is coupled to the endplate and is configured to be received in the return passage. The endplate is configured to partially separate the filter housing from the filter cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20230228602
Abstract: Flow meters are disclosed that provide improved measurements of fluid flowing through fan coils. A flow meter includes a body that defines an inlet, an outlet, and a flow path extending along a longitudinal axis between the inlet and the outlet. The flow meter also includes transducers coupled to the body and exposed to the flow path defined by the body. The transducers are configured to transmit and receive a signal travelling through the flow path to measure a flow rate of fluid of the fan coil. The flow meter also includes one or more reflectors coupled to the body and exposed to the flow path defined by the body. Each of the one or more reflectors has a flat reflective surface that is exposed to the flow path and is configured to reflect the signal to relay the signal between the transducers.

  • Patent number: 11304461
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a unitary article of clothing, typically referred to as a jumpsuit, comprising a jacket section and a pant section, one connected to the other by means of a joiner band. The joiner band is attached to both the jacket and pant sections and serves to provide additional warmth to a midsection of a user by providing at least three layers of fabric over the user's midsection. In addition to providing additional warmth, the joiner band also gives the jumpsuit the appearance of being a two-piece suit comprised of a sweater independent from the jogging pants. The jacket portion is also comprised of a closeable opening to allow a user to get into the pant section of the jumpsuit and subsequently also wear the jacket portion.

  • Patent number: 11268501
Abstract: A closed-loop hydraulic circuit includes a piston chamber housing a piston rod and a ram piston coupled to an end of the piston rod, and a pump in fluid communication with the piston chamber at first and second hydraulic ports. Pumping a hydraulic fluid to the first hydraulic port causes a forward stroke of the ram piston and the piston rod, and pumping the hydraulic fluid to the second hydraulic port causes a return stroke of the ram piston and the piston rod within the piston chamber. An accumulator is in fluid communication with the pump and the piston chamber, and a 3-2 valve is actuatable between a first position, where pressurized hydraulic fluid is conveyed from the accumulator to the pump during the forward stroke, and a second position, where excess hydraulic fluid is conveyed from the first hydraulic port to the accumulator during the return stroke.

  • Publication number: 20180128519
Abstract: A closed loop system utilizing a solar refrigerant turbocharger and pump in conjunction with a solar collector to operate a heating and cooling system for a building by utilization of a renewable energy source. The liquid pump within the solar turbocharger is used to boost the refrigerant pressures into the solar collector, the refrigerant absorbs heat inside the solar collector and changes phase from a liquid to a vapor. The vapor is expanded across the turbine causing the turbine to spin. The ability of the refrigerant to change phase or flash from a liquid to a vapor is due to the solar energy that is transferred from evacuated tubes into the solar collector manifold and into the refrigerant. The gas is routed to the solar turbo pump turbine to drive the compressor and liquid pump. The resulting fluid gas leaving the turbine is routed to the condenser for normal operation.

  • Publication number: 20170239843
Abstract: An apparatus and process to maintain control of the temperature of low-melting compounds, high melt flow polymers, and thermally sensitive materials for the pelletization of such materials. The addition of a cooling extruder, and a second melt cooler if desired, in advance of the die plate provides for regulation of the thermal, shear, and rheological characteristics of narrow melting-range materials and polymeric mixtures, formulations, dispersions or solutions. The apparatus and process can then be highly regulated to produce consistent, uniform pellets of low moisture content for these otherwise difficult materials to pelletize.

  • Patent number: 9649802
Abstract: An apparatus and method for the pelletization of waxes, wax-like and other materials having a sharp melt point include a vessel for forming the wax into a hot molten material. A heat exchanger then cools the molten wax to a temperature just above its melt temperature. The cooled liquid wax is fed to an extruder which further reduces the temperature and mixes the liquid wax into a thoroughly mixed extrudable solid wax. The solid wax is then extruded through die orifices of a die plate into a cutting chamber, and a rotary cutter cooperating with the die face of the die plate cuts the extruded solid wax strands into pellets. The die plate, cutting chamber and rotary cutter can have the same structure as an underwater pelletizer, but operating without water or liquid as a dry face pelletizer. The thus formed wax pellets drop out of the cutting chamber by gravity through an opening in the bottom thereof.

  • Patent number: 9610829
Abstract: A hybrid multi-material outerbelt reinforcement assembly includes a metal body having a first leg and a second leg oriented at an angle with respect to the first leg. The second leg is integrally connected to the first leg defining a junction. A polymeric material reinforcing rib has a rib end contacting the junction and has a rib body extending away from the junction and bisecting the angle between the first leg and the second leg. The reinforcing rib has a rib length extending for substantially an entire length of the metal body. Flanges are integrally connected to the reinforcing rib, each having a first flange portion and a second flange portion each contacting the metal body to mitigate against a torsional rotation of the metal body that increases or decreases the angle of the second leg with respect to the first leg.

  • Patent number: 9453711
Abstract: A live fire weapons firing range includes a training area having a target wall, a rear wall and side walls extending between the target wall and the rear wall. An internal partition is oriented within the training area, so as to divide the training area into a shooter area, an actor area, and a fire engagement area. A reflective target is positioned on the target wall and is simultaneously viewable from both the shooter area and the actor area, such that an actor/instructor in the actor area is viewable to the shooter in the shooter area via a reflected image of the actor from the reflective target. The actor and the shooter engage in fire, shooting at the reflective target, which allows the live fire ammunition to pass through the reflective target, with the ammunition being captured by absorbing material positioned behind the reflective target.
