  • Patent number: 9426230
Abstract: A system and method for intelligent computer-implemented downloading of up-to-date information at times when access to data connections are available to improve user efficiency. The system assesses data relevance, calculates the amount of time available for data connections, and prioritizes data downloads based on information relevance, file sizes, download times and other parameters to determine what information to download while access to a connection is available so that the information can be used at a later time when access to a connection may not be available.

  • Patent number: 9413666
Abstract: A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes detecting user plane congestion at an eNodeB in connection with subscribers of a first one of a plurality of public land management networks (“PLMNs”) sharing a radio access network (“RAN”), identifying one or more of the PLMNs to be notified of the detected congestion in accordance with an agreement between the PLMNs, and reporting RAN congestion information (“RCI”) regarding the detected congestion to only the identified one or more of the PLMNs. The detecting may comprise determining whether detected user plane congestion exceeds a first congestion threshold indicated for the first one of the PLMNs. The method may further comprise terminating the RCI reporting when the detected congestion falls below a second congestion threshold specified for the first one of the PLMNs. The first and second thresholds may be indicated in a table associated with the eNodeB.

  • Patent number: 9272924
Abstract: A process and apparatus to remove and breakdown volatile organic compounds from drinking water, groundwater, wastewater, frack water and air exhaust. The process entails filling a tank, chamber, pipe, or column with ozone-containing gas, introducing into this ozone-containing gas-filled tank, chamber, pipe or column, very small droplets of water, contaminated with volatile organic compounds which then volatilize out from the water and break down in the ozone gas thereby improving the water quality and associated air quality. The current invention has been shown to achieve more than 99% combined removal efficiency. The process can also be used to treat air streams containing volatile organic compounds. To increase efficiency, ozone is introduced where the atomized particles are smallest. Three configurations utilizing said process include upward and downward spray of contaminated water into ozone and pumping through openings in an enclosure to a reaction chamber filled with ozone-containing gas.

The multi-function wire stripping hand tool includes first and second members that are pivotably secured to one another. One or both of handle sections of the first and second members include a plurality of tool bits that are useable for a variety of operations. A wire stripping mechanism including wire stripping blades that are coupled to the handle sections of the first and second members along either the width or the length of the handle sections, and is configured to strip an insulating layer from a wire without damaging its core. When a wire is placed between the wire stripping blades and the handles are pivoted together, the blades engage the wire and cut the wire to a predetermined depth that is sufficient to strip the insulating layer from the wire.

  • Patent number: 9043129
Abstract: A method of adjusting a speed of a mobile machine is provided. Image data of a location is collected where currently generated sensor data and previously generated sensor data indicate a discontinuity in sensor data. The image data is analyzed to determine if a non-motion blur score for the image data is above a threshold value. Then, a speed of the mobile machine is adjusted based on a determination that the non-motion blur score is above the threshold value.
