Patent number: 11939039Abstract: An aircraft door drainage system includes a precipitation receptacle disposed longitudinally along an upper edge of an aircraft door opening. The receptacle is mounted along the upper edge of the door opening by a plurality of brackets that connect the receptacle to an inside ceiling panel of the aircraft. The receptacle protrudes outward from the upper edge of the door opening into a path followed by precipitation falling off of an outer peripheral surface of a fuselage of the aircraft from locations above, forward, and aft of the door opening into the door opening when the aircraft door is in an open position. The receptacle remains clear of the aircraft door when the aircraft door is closed into the door opening. Drain hoses are connected at first and second ends of the receptacle to direct precipitation collected in the receptacle to an outside of the aircraft.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2020Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: FEDERAL EXPRESS CORPORATIONInventors: Matthew Alan Arnold, Brittany M. Publication number: 20180325121Abstract: An insect attractant and eradicant composition providing two part insect control. Insects are drawn to a centralized attractant and as such removes their presence, annoyance, and harm from areas surrounding the attractant. The insecticidal properties associated with the attractant and eradicant composition then immobilizes and kills the insects for terminal removal from the area. The composition is made from essential oils and common household components for a non-toxic formulation to humans and animals, but retaining high insecticide effectiveness. The design of the composition and the dispenser provide for continuous and effective attractant properties through extreme deployment conditions and a dispenser that is capable of small to large numbers of insects.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 13, 2018Publication date: November 15, 2018Inventors: Travis Jay Keller, Michael Wayne Arnold

Publication number: 20130231551Abstract: A system and method for cardiovascular exercise stress magnetic resonance using a MR-compatible treadmill. The treadmill is made of non-ferromagnetic materials and has a belt driven by a motor that produces rotational motion from pressurized fluid that is produced by a pump located outside the scan room. The treadmill is adjacent to the MR imager. Patients complete an exercise protocol on the treadmill and are then transferred to the MR imager without leaving the scan room. Images are acquired as quickly as possible post-exercise to more accurately diagnose cardiovascular disease in patients.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2012Publication date: September 5, 2013Applicant: THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITYInventors: Orlando Paul Simonetti, Eric Lee Foster, John Wayne Arnold, Subha V. Patent number: 8330043Abstract: A vertical cable manager includes a base, an interconnected double-spine assembly topped by a top frame, and a pair of doors. The double-spine assembly is supported by the base. Each door is removably coupled at each lower corner to the base and at each upper corner to the top frame, thus permitting each door to be opened or hinged along either of its lateral sides or removed entirely. The double-spine assembly may support selectively repositionable mounting members, which may in turn support a large cable spool, a selectively repositionable shelf-mounted handle spool assembly, and various other cable management accessories.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2010Date of Patent: December 11, 2012Assignee: Chatsworth Products, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Alaniz, D. Publication number: 20090259121Abstract: A system and method for cardiovascular exercise stress magnetic resonance using a MRI-compatible treadmill and real-time imaging. The treadmill comprises non-ferromagnetic components so that it may be used in proximity to a MRI scanner. The treadmill is positioned adjacent to the MRI scan table. A treadmill control system is used to control the speed and grade of the treadmill to allow it to perform a wide range of exercise protocols. Patients complete an exercise protocol on the treadmill and are then moved to the MRI scan table. Images are acquired as quickly as possible post-exercise to more accurately diagnose cardiovascular disease in patients.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2009Publication date: October 15, 2009Applicant: The Ohio State UniversityInventors: Orlando Paul Simonetti, Eric Lee Foster, John Wayne Arnold, Subha V. Patent number: 6784570Abstract: A power supply station is presented having a substantially flat-based portion and a taller rear portion extending upward from the rear of the primary base portion, but being formed integrally therefrom. Dual connectors extend forward from the front surface of the rear portion and are adapted for connecting with recessed male connectors found on the rear sockets of SINCGARS radio. Internal electronics within a unit converts standard 110/220 Volt AC current into a standard +12 Volt DC source compatible with standard SINCGARS radios. The internal electronics provide separate conversion power supplies for both connectors to allow for two SINCGARS radios to be powered simultaneously. The invention also includes switches for controlling the powering of any installed SINCGARS radio as well as low friction runners and retention latches on the front of the unit to allow for secure retention of the SINCGARS radio on the invention while powering.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2001Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Perkins Technical Services, Inc.Inventors: Robert Allen Walls, Michael Samuel Hamilton, Kenneth Wayne Arnold, Hubert Sims, Jr.

Patent number: 6666693Abstract: A presently-preferred electrical connector comprises an electrically insulative base member having a first surface, a substantially planar second surface, and a plurality of stud members projecting from the second surface. The base member has a plurality of through holes formed therein. The through holes each extend from the first surface to a respective stud member. At least a portion of each of the stud members is coated with an electrically conductive material. The electrical connector also comprises an electrically-insulative plate member mounted on the base member, and a conducting member. The conducting member comprises a lead portion at least partially disposed within the plate member, and a contact portion at least partially disposed within the stud member.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2001Date of Patent: December 23, 2003Assignee: FCI Americas Technology, Inc.Inventors: Yakov Belopolsky, Wayne Arnold Zahlit
