  • Patent number: 6978924
Abstract: A stackable food container includes a lower food receptacle portion, and an upper tray forming section with one or more sides foldably coupled to the lower food receptacle portion. The upper tray forming section encloses the contents of the food container when the one or more sides are in a closed state. The upper tray forming section is configured to cooperatively deploy into a tray when the one or more sides are in an open state. The tray may include an upward-facing rim substantially surrounding the contents of the food container.

  • Patent number: 5890240
Abstract: A drum for rolling up and unrolling protective covers has a driven pendulum within for applying a rotary moment to cause the drum to roll. The pendulum is powered in one rotary direction or the other by an electrical motor according to a signal from outside the drum, and battery packs are enclosed with the drive elements to provide a power source. A sealed drum is provided to float in swimming pools. In another embodiment, a common electric drill is used for the drive mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5533214
Abstract: A self-powered drum for rolling up and unrolling protective covers has a driven pendulum within for applying a rotary moment to cause the drum to roll. The pendulum is powered in one rotary direction or the other by an electrical motor according to a signal from outside the drum, and battery packs are enclosed with the drive elements to provide a power source. A sealed drum is provided to float in swimming pools.

  • Patent number: 5350081
Abstract: A beverage container holder for attachment to a food and beverage container having a sloped outer surface comprises: (a) an upwardly facing top surface; (b) first and second openings in the top surface forming receptacles for receiving a beverage container; (c) a bottom portion connected to and extending downwardly from the top surface; and (d) an attachment mechanism attached to the bottom portion for further attachment to the sloped outer surface of the carrier. The bottom portion further has an attaching surface which is sloped so that when the container holder is attached to the carrier, the receptacles can receive the beverage container so that the liquid inside the container is level. The disclosed holder also has a third receptacle between the first and second receptacles for receiving miscellaneous small items.

  • Patent number: 4863115
Abstract: A test cassette is provided for testing tape tensioning devices in tape recorders and players. The test cassette has a at least one of a supply reel and a takeup reel which has two circular arc portions of different radius. In a preferred embodiment, one of the circular arc portions has the radius of a substantially full reel of tape, and the other has the radius of a substantially empty reel of tape. In operation the test cassette simulates the conditions of a full reel and the conditions of a substantially empty reel with each revolution of the reel, and the extremes of operation of a tape tensioning device can be quickly and easily tested.

  • Patent number: 4807475
Abstract: An accelerometer has a single pendulum-type acceleration sensitive element, the movement of the pendulum moving a pointer through a gear arrangement such that scale graduations on a face of the instrument may be linear or of other character. Auxiliary pointers are provided so as to indicate the maximum positive and negative values of acceleration experienced by the instrument, maintaining always the highest magnitude reading attained. The recording auxiliary pointers are manually resettable from outside the instrument.

  • Patent number: 4554743
Abstract: A gauge for use in measuring the protrusion of a head from the surface of a video recorder is disclosed. The gauge is a universal gauge which can accurately and reproducibly measure head protrusion on any video recorder without the need of precision aligned mounting holes. The necessary accuracy is achieved by a unique double pivot design along with a universal mounting scheme. A novel mechanism is also provided to aid in visual alignment of the gauge and to provide a positive indication of misalignment by the user.

  • Patent number: 4283857
Abstract: A spindle-height gage is provided for measuring the height of one or more spindles in a tape recorder. The gage includes a pair of indicators rigidly mounted to a stable base configured for insertion into the tape recorder in lieu of a cassette. Upon insertion of the base plate into the recorder, the spindle under test comes into contact with a "foot" extending from a shaft of one of the indicators, which then provides indication of the spindle height. The gage is calibrated by inserting into the gage a calibrating disc having two shoulders, each of a height corresponding to the specified height of one of the spindles.
