Abstract: This invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions for improving anesthesia recovery and preventing nausea and emesis and a method for improved injection site tolerance. In particular, the invention is directed to pharmaceutical compositions with an improved injection site toleration comprising an effective amount of a neurokinin receptor antagonist with a pharmaceutically acceptable cyclodextrin. The invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions of the compound of Formula (I), wherein R2 is selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, sec-butyl and tert-butyl. The invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions of the compound of Formula Ia, and cyclodextrins and methods for improved injection site toleration thereof.
