Abstract: A method of managing power state transitions for a computing system based on the proximity of a user may include determining a location of a mobile device, determining a distance between the location of the mobile device and a location of a computing system to determine whether the mobile device is located within a first threshold distance from the computing system, and in response to determining that the mobile device is located within the first threshold distance from the computing system, transitioning the computing system from a first power state to a second power state.

Abstract: An apparatus and method provides an automated mechanism for configuring a position arrangement of displays in a group of displays, such as a display grid. The apparatus and method uses an image capture unit, such as a camera to capture an image of the entire display grid while test patterns are being provided. In one example, a first device outputs the test patterns to the display grid while a second device that includes the camera analyzes the captured images and determines whether a display in the display grid needs to be logically remapped to provide proper image display when the first device outputs full SLS frames in normal operation.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating one or more themed user interfaces (UI) each capable of displaying content unique to the theme selected. This may allow the use of the one or more display configurations for themed content. A device may be associated with a UI, which is capable of displaying content. One or more display configurations associated with one or more themes may be created. Upon selection of a particular theme, content specific to the particular theme is displayed via the associated display configuration.

A method for providing an image for display includes detecting an exclusive display mode. In the exclusive display mode, an application is blocked from display on a monitor. In response to detecting the exclusive display mode, a composited surface is generated that comprises display data of a blocked application surface and display data of an exclusive application surface.
