  • Patent number: 11639258
Abstract: A sustainable sealed package includes a biofoam molded tray and a paperboard substrate. The biofoam molded tray includes a circumferential flange defining an opening to an interior cavity of the biofoam molded tray. A heat sealing layer is on a first major side of a paperboard substrate. The heat sealing layer is sealed to the circumferential flange of the biofoam molded tray.

    Assignee: WestRock MWV, LLC
Inventors: Allison Bowling, Wayne Cameron, Jerry Hawkins
  • Publication number: 20220388747
Abstract: A blank (1)0 for forming an article carrier (90) has a main panel (12) which includes at least one article retention structure R1 having an aperture A1 defined in the main panel and one or more tabs formed about a periphery of the aperture in the main panel. The one or more tabs are connected to the main panel such that the tabs yield out of the plane of the main panel when an article is received in the aperture to bear against the article. The main panel includes a paperboard substrate and at least one polymeric layer.

  • Patent number: 5915210
Abstract: A two-way communication system for communication betweeen a system network and a mobile unit. The system network includes a plurality of base transmitters and base receivers include in the network. The base transmitters are divided into zonal assignments and broadcast in simulcast using multi-carrier modulation techniques. The system network controls the base transmitters to broadcast in suimulcast during both systemwide and zone boundaries to maximize information throughout. The preferred mobile unit inlcudes a noise detector circuit to prevent unwanted transmissions. The system network further provides an adaptive registration feature for mobile units which controls the registration operation by the mobile units to maximize information throughout.

  • Patent number: 5754946
Abstract: A two-way communication system for communication between a system network and a mobile unit. The system network includes a plurality of base transmitters and base receivers included in the network. The base transmitters are divided into zonal assignments and broadcast in simulcast using multi-carrier modulation techniques. The system network controls the base transmitters to broadcast in simulcast during both systemwide and zonal time intervals. The system network dynamically alters zone boundaries to maximize information throughput. The system also uses a mobile unit which receives messages from the network and transmits messages to the network. The mobile unit includes a switch that allows a user to request the network to retransmit a received message that contains errors.
