The apparatus is optionally configured with a one-way flow valve positioned in the cone above the nipple and below the holes to enable back-flow prevention of expressed milk. The apparatus is optionally configured with a one-way flow valve connected to any of the holes on the side to enable back-flow prevention of expressed milk.

The grasp-impeding apparatus is worn on the infant's hand and impedes the infant's ability to grasp components of the health care devices, and accordingly, pull and remove the health care devices. The apparatus can further be used to provide support to the palm, thereby stabilizing the hand in which the I.V. is introduced.
