Abstract: An enhancement for an electronic calendar provides a single call-in number and, preferably a pass code established for a user/participant in any and all conference call(s) in which use of the invention is authorized by an owner/caller initiating a conference call. The call-in number accesses the computer corresponding to the user/participant and is redirected to the conference call using information which is stored in memory separate from the electronic calendar and thus not accessible therefrom.

Abstract: Domain name system (DNS) servers provide Internet protocol (IP) addresses that computers must have for finding websites on the Internet. A recent problem with navigating the Internet is that hackers have discovered ways to change the IP addresses stored on the DNS servers. An altered IP address will cause an Internet user to be directed to an incorrect or fraudulent website. In the present invention, an Internet user's computer stores domain names and corresponding IP addresses of all websites visited with the computer. Each time a website is accessed, the IP address received from the DNS server is compared to the IP address stored in the database. If the IP addresses are identical, then the newly received IP address is likely legitimate. If the IP addresses are different, then the newly received IP address is likely fraudulent, and the user can be warned before loading the website.

Abstract: A user designated as a group leader of a group of users manages location information for the group of users using a base device. In particular, a client device is identified for each user in the group of users and an area within which each user in the group of users is to remain is defined. Subsequently, the base device can obtain location information for the client device(s) and process the location information for use by the group leader. For example, the base device can display the current location of one or more users, display the relative location of one or more users with respect to the group leader, and/or determine if one or more users are outside of the area. The group leader can then coordinate the group by communicating with one or more users in the group. In this manner, the group leader can make more informed decisions about the status of each group member and more efficiently coordinate the re-grouping and/or movement of the group of users.
