  • Patent number: 9114680
Abstract: The present invention provides a capture plate for preventing rotation between a trailer and a hitch assembly. The hitch assembly mounts on a vehicle, and is preferably a sliding hitch assembly. The capture plate has a lip which mates with the pin box of a fifth wheel trailer, the lip prevents rotation between the trailer and the capture plate. The capture plate has a restriction part which mates with the pin slot on the hitch assembly, the restriction part restricts rotation between the capture plate and the hitch. The capture plate has a fastener which removably secures the capture plate to the pin box.

  • Patent number: 8220818
Abstract: A hitch for coupling a trailer to a towing vehicle includes a hitch assembly and a base assembly. The hitch assembly pivots between an aligned position and a turning position as the towing vehicle turns. A bearing assembly rides between the hitch assembly and the base assembly. The bearing assembly guides the hitch assembly between the turning and aligned positions. The base assembly has an anchor assembly which prevents the hitch assembly from sliding fore or aft when in the aligned position.

  • Patent number: 4432742
Abstract: The present invention contemplates a shield arrangement for the power take-off shaft of a tractor or like piece of equipment. The arrangement includes an inverted, U-shaped shield member which is pivotally mounted to the tractor for movement between raised and lowered positions, wherein in the lowered position the power take-off shaft is shielded. The arrangement further includes a spring-loaded, strut-like link pivotally mounted within the shield member. The link member is adapted to contact the power take-off shaft for supporting the shield member in its raised position, with the link member configured to disengage the take-off shaft upon initiation of the shaft's rotation for automatically lowering the shield member.
