Abstract: An aggregation router for an aircraft may include processing circuitry. The processing circuitry may be configured to receive a first channel from a first airborne radio, and receive a second channel from a second airborne radio. The first and second channels may be WAN connections to wireless communication network resources on the ground. The processing circuitry may be further configured to aggregate the first and second channels for service to LAN connections on the aircraft, which LAN connections may include one or more short range wireless communication access points.

Abstract: A method for controlling a wireless communication signal transmitter over a wireless broadband network is presented. In the method, transmitter commands for the transmitter are received over a wireless broadband network at a wireless broadband router. The transmitter commands are directed from the router over a first wired connection to the transmitter. Also, monitor commands for a monitoring device are received over the network at the router. The monitoring device is configured to monitor an electrical characteristic of the transmitter. The monitor commands are directed from the router over a second wired connection to a serial communication cable adapter. At the adapter, the monitor commands are converted into a serial communication format. The resulting serial monitor commands are transferred from the adapter over a serial communication connection to the monitoring device.
