Patent number: 11832088Abstract: Disclosed is a method of presenting audio information to a user. The method comprising receiving samples of a waveform from a media handling component, initializing a biquad filter with a set of one or more coefficients corresponding to a set of one or more stages of the biquad filter for both a real component of the samples and an imaginary component of the samples. The biquad filter is implemented on a media processing component of the mobile media device. The method further comprises applying the biquad filter to the samples of the waveform to generate an output for presentation to the user, the output comprising a processed rendering of the real component of the samples and the imaginary component of the samples.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2021Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Inventors: Randall Joseph Stack, Don Wayne Estes

Patent number: 11640494Abstract: In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method which, in one example embodiment, can include receiving text data that includes at least unstructured data and wherein the text data is associated with a plurality of messages communicated between a plurality of entities. The method can also include determining relationships between the entities, based on the text data associated with the plurality of messages, and generating, from a knowledge base assembled from at least the text data, a response to a user interaction representing a query for information that corresponds to at least one of the entities and indicates information on one or more of the determined relationships between the entities. The method can also include detecting a deviation in communication between the entities that indicates unauthorized disclosure of information between a first entity and a second entity.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2020Date of Patent: May 2, 2023Assignee: Digital Reasoning Systems, Inc.Inventors: Timothy Wayne Estes, James Johnson Gardner, Matthew Russell, Phillip Daniel Michalak

Patent number: 6862182Abstract: A power controller generally includes a switching device and a heat sink in contact with the switching device for dissipating heat generated by the switching device. The heat sink may include a base and a plurality of fins extending from the base. The power controller may include a fan for forcing cooling air toward the heat sink and an air guide mounted to the heat sink for dividing the cooling air such that cooling air flows over the top of the heat sink and cooling air flows through the fins of the heat sink. The power controller may include multiple heat sinks and one or more temperature sensors.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2003Date of Patent: March 1, 2005Assignee: Chromalox, Inc.Inventors: Alfred R. Publication number: 20030082979Abstract: The present invention relates to a composite which is capable of use as a filter medium and a method for producing the same. The composite may include pulp fibers and conjugate glass fibers. The conjugate fibers are desirably composed of at least two glasses which have different thermal expansion properties. The difference in thermal expansion coefficients of the multicomponent fiber produces a fiber with a random helical crimp. The random helical crimp of the conjugate fibers reduces the packing efficiency of the glass itself and the other fibers. The reduced packing efficiency affords the opportunity to prepare pulp/conjugate glass fiber composite materials with higher porosity and higher permeability for a given basis weight. The addition of the polyester staple fibers to the composite lends sufficient stiffness to the web so as to allow pleating without further treatment such as with a binder material.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2001Publication date: May 1, 2003Applicant: Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc.Inventors: Karen Hargett Bean, David Lewis Myers, Ganesh Chandra Deka, Bruce George Stokes, Jerry Wayne Estes

Patent number: 5933898Abstract: A series of hingedly connected spanning panels is provided. Each spanning panel includes two opposing outer edges. Alternating ones of the spanning panels include a raised ridge disposed along each of the outer edges of the spanning panel. At least one sleeve is disposed along each of the outer edges of a plurality of the spanning panels. A plurality of elongated rods are provided. Each of the rods is configured to pass through a plurality of the sleeves, the rods thereby maintaining the spanning panels in a substantially fixed linear relationship to one another. An end panel is hingedly connected to each end of the series of hingedly connected spanning panels. Each of the end panels is substantially wedge shaped and includes a gripping surface.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 1997Date of Patent: August 10, 1999Inventors: Kenneth Wayne Estes, Lorinda Lee Estes

Patent number: 5716900Abstract: A printable material which includes a first, second, and third layer. The first layer has first and second surfaces. For example, the first layer may be a film or a cellulosic nonwoven web. The second layer overlays the first surface of the first layer. The second layer is composed of a first thermoplastic polymer having a melt flow rate of at least about 15 g/10 minutes at a temperature of 190.degree. C. and a load of 2.16 kg. The third layer overlays the second layer. The third layer includes a second thermoplastic polymer having a glass transition temperature equal to or greater than about 30.degree. C. The third layer also may include from about 1 to about 40 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the second thermoplastic polymer, of a release agent. Desirably, the first and second layers will have smoothness values, as measured by a Sheffield Smoothness Tester, no greater than about 150 cc/minute and no greater than about 100 cc/minute, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 1995Date of Patent: February 10, 1998Assignee: Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc.Inventors: Francis Joseph Kronzer, Jerry Wayne Estes
