In an aspect, an authorization system can receive a request for content. The authorization system can queue an authorization request and/or an entitlement check for processing in response to the request for content. The authorization system can pre-authorize the request and initiate delivery of at least the portion of content prior to processing the authorization request and/or the entitlement check.
