Publication number: 20240144239Abstract: A card having an antenna, one or processors, and memory having stored thereon a first application and a second application configured to receive an input of the card and determine a request associated with the input. The card is further configured to activate, responsive to determining that the request is consistent with a contactless EuroPay-MasterCard-Visa (EMV) data standard, the first application. The first application is configured to communicate, via near field communication (NFC), data to the communicating device via the antenna based on the EMV data standard for payment purposes. The card is further configured to activate, responsive to determining that the request is consistent with a near field communication data exchange format (NDEF) standard, the second application. The second application is configured to communicate, via NFC, data to the communicating device via the antenna based on the NDEF standard for verification/identification purposes.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 8, 2024Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Jeffrey Rule, Kaitlin J. Patent number: 10258025Abstract: A fishing line clip is a handy tool for fishermen when stringing up a fishing rod for use or storage. The line clip can be releasably attached to a fishing line that has been fed through fishing rod eyelets. The clip prevents the line from falling back through the eyelets. The clip includes a plug fixed to a line clamp. The plug is sized to be larger than the diameter of a fishing rod eyelet. The line clamp allows for convenient fixing and releasing of a fishing line to the clip.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2017Date of Patent: April 16, 2019Inventor: Mitchell Wayne Grant

Patent number: 10053138Abstract: A motion assembly that produces pitch and roll motions includes lower and upper plates. A pivotable coupling having upper and lower shafts extending from its center is coupled between the upper and lower plates. At least two linear actuators are coupled between the plates. Extension and retraction of the actuators pivots the upper plate about the pivotable coupling relative to the lower plate. A vehicle includes two steerable propulsion wheels coupled to a chassis. A lower plate of a pitch and roll assembly, similar to that just described, couples to the chassis via a slew bearing. Seating is coupled to the upper plate. The seating rotates with respect to the chassis via controlled rotation of the slew bearing with reference to the chassis. The seating can be rotated to point in any direction with respect to the chassis regardless of the direction the steerable propulsion wheels move the chassis.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2017Date of Patent: August 21, 2018Assignee: OCEANEERING INTERNATIONAL, INC.Inventors: Samuel T. Foster, Michael Wayne Boshears, Andrew Wayne Grant, Frank Peter Hass, Clifford Allen Jennings, Eric Arthur King, Kenneth Thomas Kroslowitz, Suhas Subhaschandra Malghan, Stephen A. Sywak

Publication number: 20170258064Abstract: A fishing line guide is a narrow, elongate shaft having a front end and a back end. The front end has a blunt tip, while the back end includes a fishing line clamp. The fishing line clamp includes an aperture and converging side portions that are adapted to, together, receive a fishing line through the aperture and then releasably securing that line in between the converging side portions.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2017Publication date: September 14, 2017Inventor: Mitchell Wayne Grant

Publication number: 20160242400Abstract: A fishing tool may be used for securing a trailer hook or other lure item onto a bait hook. The tool includes a handle with a mounting end positioned therein, wherein the mounting end includes an installation hole that extends through the handle. There is additionally a recessed seat in the hole and around the perimeter of the hole. A plastic disc has an outside diameter that corresponds to the diameter of the installation hole.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2015Publication date: August 25, 2016Inventors: Mitchell Wayne Grant, George Brent Thomas

Publication number: 20080233229Abstract: Method and apparatus for the production of containers are disclosed. A container blow molding element can concurrently produce a plurality of containers. Two adjacent containers are disposed a first distance apart. A container conveying element can receive the plurality of containers at predetermined container locations. The predetermined container locations corresponding to the two adjacent containers are disposed a second distance apart. A transition element can transfer the plurality of containers from the blow molding element to the container conveying element. The distance between the two adjacent containers is altered from the first distance to the second distance after the plurality of containers is removed from the blow molding element and before the plurality of containers is received by the container conveying element.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2007Publication date: September 25, 2008Inventors: Wayne Grant Leslie, Giovanni Battista De Amicis, Patrick John Healey

Patent number: 7120977Abstract: A process and apparatus for producing stabilized compressed tampons are disclosed. The process includes the steps of providing a compressed tampon pledget and forcing gas through the compressed tampon. In some embodiments, the process may occur in the presence of moisture. The moisture can come from either the fibers of the material that comprises the tampon pledget and/or from the humidified gas or steam that is introduced. The process may include the steps of heating and/or humidifying the gas introduced during the process. The gas may be forced through the compressed tampon pledget intermittently during the process.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2003Date of Patent: October 17, 2006Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Dale Francis Bittner, Tim Jensen, Lynne Cheryl Hannen, Wayne Grant Leslie, Robert Lawrence Prosise, Robert Clark Avery, Andrew Lloyd Bouthilet

Publication number: 20030233813Abstract: This invention relates to a process for making a wrapped tampon. A continuously moving wrapper material is provided with a longitudinal axis, width and a tear member. The wrapper material is maintained in a pre-determined rotational position. The wrapper material provided also has a pair of opposing longitudinal edges that are folded and sealed together to form a longitudinal seal. The wrapper material is cut to form a pair of opposing transverse edges. The transverse edges are to form a transverse seal having a width defined by a first end and a second end. A tampon is provided and is inserted into the wrapper material through the unsealed opposing transverse edges that are subsequently sealed. At the end of the process, when the wrapper is sealed the tear member extends into the transverse seal adjacent to the first end.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 25, 2002Publication date: December 25, 2003Inventors: Wayne Grant Leslie, Ralph Robert Emenaker, Paul Felix Fusco
