Abstract: A user device for connecting symptom, disease, procedure, and facility based information into actionable services for medical care and cost analysis is presented. The user device may include the functionality of linking medical information and providing user specific information. The user-specific information allows the user to make an informed decision about medical treatment. The user device may further be operative to tailor information in light of user characteristics such as location or healthcare network membership.

Abstract: Systems and method for communication of information to one or more medical care providers. The systems and methods may utilize a client with which a user may interact. As such, the user may utilize the client to research, display, and/or select a medical care provider. The user may input information to the client which is transmitted to a selected medical care provider prior to the user arriving at the medical care provider's facility. This may include an indication of the user's intent to visit the medical care provider. As such, the medical care provider may utilize the data received to generate a chart and make preparations (e.g., reserve resources) in anticipation of the user's visit. The user may also use the client to access and/or share a personal health record.

Abstract: A security guard is provided for healthcare safety strap buckles used in medical transport, and medical examinations. The guard is a hollow rectangular enclosure having a top wall, a bottom wall, two side walls, a partially-opened end, and a fully open end to fit over a variety of healthcare safety strap buckles. The guard surrounds the push button buckle preventing unsupervised or accidental release of the safety strap. The partially open end can accommodate the healthcare safety strap and shoulder straps used in medical transport and observation. A slot is included in the top and the bottom of the cover that a key or similar device can be used to depress the push button and release the buckle. In a second embodiment a slot is formed in the closed end and is dimensioned to receive only the safety buckle tongue of the healthcare safety strap, and is designed to be used in the absence of shoulder straps.
