  • Patent number: 4505085
Abstract: An interlocking, load-bearing panel assembly which prevents thermal energy from being transferred thereacross is disclosed. Each panel assembly (15) includes a first load-bearing panel (20) and an identically constructed second load-bearing panel (20'). The panels are inverted with respect to each other and secured together at respective top and bottom portions with thermal insulating spacers (30, 30') inserted therebetween. A thermally insulating void space (32) is created between the secured panels (20, 20'). To interlock the panel assembly (15) with like panel assemblies in the construction of a building, vertical, load-bearing, split-member connectors (35, 35') are secured at opposite ends of the assembly (15). Each connector (35, 35') has two slotted members (31, 36) and a thermal insulating spacer (48) positioned therebetween to prevent transfer of thermal energy across the connector members.

  • Patent number: 4147001
Abstract: Self-locking connector elements at opposite ends of elongated panels for interlocking superposed panels with others at angles thereto, to provide wall structure for enclosures of various types. The connector elements each have a pair of laterally spaced side wall portions connected at one end by a transverse wall portion and a partition connection the side wall portions in spaced parallel relation to the transverse wall portion. The side wall portions are secured to an end of a given panel, parallel to opposite sides of the panel, with the transverse wall portion and partition disposed in longitudinally outwardly spaced relation to the adjacent end of the panel, the partition and wall portions forming an open ended passageway.

  • Patent number: 4008553
Abstract: Wall panels and connectors for holding the panels together at their opposite ends to provide walls and partitions for buildings, storage bins and other walled structures. Similar panels have parallel inner and outer side walls, upper and lower edge walls and opposite end elements, the upper and lower edge walls having abutting engagement with the lower and upper edge walls respectively of other panels in stacked engagement to form a wall. Connectors engage the end elements of different panels disposed at a common level to hold the panels in engagement with each other at their ends.

  • Patent number: RE30108
Abstract: Detachable panels for use in construction of rectangular enclosures such as grain bins. The side edges of each panel are provided with mounting frames adapted to be easily secured to adjoining panels. The bottom edge of the panel is provided with a channel member to provide lateral support for the panel, and with a pair of flat connector portions that extend downwardly therefrom so that the top edge of a similar panel can be inserted between them and secured to them.
