  • Patent number: 8528261
Abstract: An apparatus for isolating and leveling a machine foundation with respect to a substructure of a building or the ground. The apparatus of the present invention provides an enclosure connectable to the machine foundation. A load bearing member is disposed within and adjustably connected to the enclosure. A support member is positioned between and in contact with the bearing member and the substructure for supporting and isolating the machine foundation from the substructure and providing a leveling mechanism to level the machine foundation. The support member may include an elastomeric inner core having elastomer-coated cords overlapping the inner core to resist radial expansion of the inner core upon the realization of a compressive force along a longitudinal axis of the inner core. The support member may also include a high-strength, rigid material, such as a steel I-beam, that is replaceable with other support members.

  • Patent number: 7757441
Abstract: An apparatus for isolating and leveling a machine foundation with respect to a substructure of a building or the ground. The apparatus of the present invention provides an enclosure connectable to the machine foundation. A load bearing member is disposed within and adjustably connected to the enclosure. A primary support member and a secondary support member are positioned between the bearing member and the substructure for isolating the machine foundation from the substructure. The magnitude of force carried by the secondary support member may be adjusted to consequently adjust the natural frequency of the machine foundation.

  • Patent number: 6739568
Abstract: An apparatus for isolating and leveling a machine foundation with respect to a substructure of a building or the ground. The apparatus of the present invention provides an enclosure connectable to the machine foundation. A load bearing member is disposed within and adjustably connected to the enclosure. A resilient member is positioned between and in contact with the bearing member and the substructure for supporting and isolating the machine foundation from the substructure and providing a leveling mechanism to level the machine foundation. At least one gauge extends between the bearing member and the substructure to determine the distance between the bearing member and the substructure so that the machine foundation may be leveled. Additional stabilizers are provided with an anchor plate assembly adjustably connected to the enclosure. The stabilizers include an isolating member biased against a sidewall of the substructure by the anchor plate assembly to provide added stability to the machine foundation.

  • Patent number: 6296222
Abstract: A fixture for guiding drills for forming holes to receive fasteners for affixing a machinery mount anchor in position. Such fasteners are usually obliquely related to the vertical and the drill guide fixture is firmly supported upon the machinery mount anchor base and includes drill guides angularly related to the vertical to permit fastener holes to be accurately drilled in the support surface in alignment with the anchor base fastener openings. Threaded retainers and angle producing elements permit the drill fixture to be temporarily firmly positioned on the machinery mounting base during drilling.

  • Patent number: 5971349
Abstract: An anchor base for mounting machinery supports wherein fasteners extend through holes defined in the base. The base holes are provided with a concave countersunk surface which receives a complementary shaped convex fastener guide permitting the fastener to be obliquely oriented to the plane of the base, and the supporting surface and yet providing an effective holding force. This construction of the anchor base also permits an adapter to be used in conjunction with the base wherein if the supported machinery overlies the machinery support as not to provide access to the regular base mounting holes, a mechanical hold-down force on the base is still possible.

  • Patent number: 5794912
Abstract: A vibration isolation mount pad insert for supporting heavy equipment wherein the insert is vertically adjustable and a constant horizontal natural frequency is maintained at all vertical positions of the pad. The constant horizontal natural frequency vibration absorption characteristics are maintained at all insert positions by shaping the insert elastomeric body. Constant horizontal vibration control is achieved by maintaining a constant effective elastomeric vibration control mass at all positions of vertical adjustment.

  • Patent number: 5762312
Abstract: A machinery mounting pad for heavy machinery formed of an elastic deformable material having load supporting elements homogeneously defined thereon of various vertical height whereby the extent of compression of the pad elements under a vertical load may be visually observed, and measured, and as the deformation and compression of the pad is known with respect to predetermined magnitudes of load, the weight imposed upon the pad may be approximately determined.

  • Patent number: 5584464
Abstract: A vertically adjustable mount for heavy duty machinery utilizing three wedges wherein a screw operated actuating wedge is located between upper and lower wedges. All the wedges include engaging cam surfaces obliquely related to the longitudinal direction of relative wedge movement during adjustment, and the range of vertical adjustment is extended, and quickly initially approximated, by providing the upper and lower wedges with longitudinally spaced openings, constituting sets, wherein a nut mounted upon the actuating wedge screw may be selectively positioned within a set of openings to adjust the range of actuating wedge movement while maintaining a relative short length of the actuating wedge screw.
