The long segment is longer than the short segment. The apparatus also includes a coupling located at the free end of the short segment which is configured to couple the short segment to a computer chassis to establish a clearance space between the short segment, long segment, and chassis to facilitate access to at least one electrical terminal on the chassis below the coupling.

Abstract: Arrangements for the point-to-point imaging of a broad spectrum of electromagnetic radiation and ultrasound at large angles of incidence employ matched pairs of spherically bent reflectors to eliminate astigmatic imaging errors. Matched pairs of spherically bent crystals or spherically bent multi-layers are used for X-rays and EUV radiation; and matched pairs of spherically bent mirrors that are appropriate for the type of radiation are used with microwaves, infrared and visible light, or ultrasound. The arrangements encompass the two cases, where the Bragg angle—the complement to the angle of incidence in optics—is between 45° and 90° on both crystals/mirrors or between 0° and 45° on the first crystal/mirror and between 45° and 90° on the second crystal/mirror, where the angles of convergence and divergence are equal. For x-rays and EUV radiation, also the Bragg condition is satisfied on both spherically bent crystals/multi-layers.

Abstract: A projectile for cap and ball revolvers and black powder rifles including but not limited to muzzleloaders, black powder cartridges etc. A soft lead body, cylindrical in form and having a front band designed to hold the projectile firmly in place prior to firing. During it's travel in the rifled bore, it then imparts spin to the projectile improving accuracy, range, and making the projectile stable during impact with intended target. Outside diameter of band is not drastic enough to negatively affect trajectory.

A receiver is coupled to the transmitter, wherein the receiver is configured to receive the envelope and generate a reply envelope. A send buffer is coupled to the transmitter. A receive buffer is coupled to the receiver. A retry timer is coupled to the transmitter, wherein the retry timer is configured to reset upon the receipt of a reply envelope correlated to the transmit envelope. The transmitter is configured to retransmit an envelope if the transmitter does not receive a corresponding reply envelope within a selected time period as determined by the retry timer. This leads to a decrease in the total number of envelopes, transmitted from both the transmitter and the receiver.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for continuous digestion of wood chip comprising an upright generally cylindrical vessel having a top end and a bottom end. The top end of the cylindrical vessel is adapted to receive wood chips mixed with a cooking liquor to be treated therein. A first conduit is integrally attached at a first location positioned between the top and bottom ends of the vessel for selectively extracting a first quantity of cooking liquor from the vessel. The first location is positioned upstream of a second location within the vessel where the cooking liquor being at substantially full cooking temperature. A second conduit is integrally attached at a third location positioned downstream from the first and second locations of the vessel.

Abstract: A continuous digester comprises a wash zone having a plurality of individual wash screens disposed about an inner wall of the digester for the withdrawal of co-current downflow liquor from the wash zone. A conduit is connected in fluid communication between each of the wash screens and a collector for co-current downflow liquor withdrawn from the wash zone of the digester. A valve is interposed along the length of the conduit leading from each of the wash screens. The valve is operable between open and closed positions in response to a signal received from a temperature sensor associated with the conduit leading from each of the wash screens.
