  • Patent number: 11254594
Abstract: A treatment system of the present invention generally includes a floating support structure having an upper flotation assembly, a base assembly that secures the bottom edges of a plurality of low density sheets, and vertical frame members that connect the upper flotation assembly to the base assembly. The sheets are generally vertically oriented although able to flex and sway independently. Substantially all regions of substantially all sheets are aerated. The sheets are constructed of an open weave substrate that allows the diffusion of gas, nutrients and food, while protecting and serving as an attachment site for a variety of microbial colonies in both anoxic and aerobic zones. In use a system of the present invention is inserted into a wastewater reservoir, and aerated, for treatment of the wastewater.

    Assignee: ENTEX Technologies Inc.
Inventors: Jeffrey B. Danner, Wayne J. Flournoy
  • Patent number: 11254593
Abstract: A treatment system of the present invention generally includes a plurality of high surface area sheets anchored to a fixed base. • Patent number: 10676382
Abstract: A treatment system of the present invention generally includes a plurality of low density, high surface area sheets anchored in parallel along their bottom ends to fixed base. The sheets are buoyant in wastewater, and generally vertically oriented although able to flex and sway independently.

  • Patent number: 8568593
Abstract: Wastewater systems, methods and/or kits configured such that one or more screens and one or more gases introduced into the system allow the one or more gases to at least partially contact the one or more screens to dislodge or discourage the media or solids from and/or the biology growth on the one or more screens without substantially affecting the oxygen level in the proximity of the one or more screens.

  • Publication number: 20110240535
Abstract: A system for controlling at least one prescribed fluid level in a biological reactor for treating wastewater or portion thereof, the system comprising at least one effluent assembly having an effluent screen; at least one sensor configured for monitoring a fluid level; at least one sparge apparatus configured for providing matter in a prescribed manner to the at least one effluent assembly; at least one matter source configured for providing matter; at least one control point configured for regulating said matter movement; and at least one controller. A kit comprising at least a controller and a sensor. A regulatory system configured for regulating the system.

  • Patent number: 7854843
Abstract: A wastewater treatment system including a biological reactor is disclosed. At least one controlled-reaction-volume module is provided to the biological reactor. The at least one controlled-reaction-volume module includes a fixed-film media for supporting a biological growth. At least one mixer, such as, for example, a high momentum mixer, for communicate a fluid to the at least one controlled-reaction-volume module so that wastewater and the biological growth communicate to thereby treat the wastewater.
