    Abstract: A system for interfacing predetermined services to a user at a fixed location includes a processing platform running an operating system. The system further includes a data store for storing configuration information for enabling the operating system to interface with available physical system resources through the physical system resource interface associated therewith. A communication resource for interfacing with the operating system allows communication of the operating system with a central office for downloading configuration information to selectively enable ones of the available physical system resources to interface with the operating system through associated ones of the physical system resource interfaces in accordance with the configuration information and the predetermined service selected by a user. A plurality of configurations is stored in the data store, and each is associated with a predetermined service and one or more of the available physical system resources.

The combination of cerium oxide nanoparticles with radiation has also been found to control and/or minimize the metastatic index. Cerium oxide nanoparticles have also been found to protect normal tissue subjected to irradiation from inflammation, and further to protect cells from reactive oxygen species. A cream comprising cerium oxide nanoparticles is formulated and used to protect skin against radiation-induced dermatitis.

    Abstract: Plant irrigation apparatus is provided with a reservoir. Water is placed inside the reservoir filling a portion of its volume. A pressurized gas is also introduced into the reservoir. The water is forced by the gas pressure out of the reservoir through at least one outlet conduit communicating with the water in the reservoir. Water leaves the outlet conduits through at least one discharge outlet. The apparatus can include structure for hanging the apparatus from a plant grow pot. Gas pressurization apparatus is utilized to provide a substantially constant supply of pressurized gas in the reservoir.
