Abstract: A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising a blend of both an acrylic ester-acrylic acid-macromolecular monomer copolymer adhesive component and an acrylic ester-acrylic acid-hydroxylated ether alkyl acrylate copolymer adhesive component in a ratio range of about 90:10 to 10:90 by weight of these components, methods for making such pressure-sensitive adhesive blends and tape articles having novel pressure sensitive adhesive blend components.

Abstract: A combined fluid storage container and applicator device for viscous fluids comprising a sheet-like impermeable material having overlying symmetrical or asymmetrical portions with a fold line and a temporary seal around the remaining periphery of the device forming a cavity for the fluid, a pad within the cavity and adhered to the sheet, and a separation mechanism for simultaneously applying continuous separating force in multiple directions to open the cavity and expose the pad. Methods of using the device are also disclosed.

Abstract: The lubricity of any shaving preparation is enhanced by providing an emollient oil and a thermoplastic polymeric elastomer additive in an amount effective to increase its lubricity. Specific shaving preparations suitable for application to human or animal skin may comprise at least 5% by weight of an emollient oil, and a thermoplastic polymeric elastomer additive in a ratio of emollient oil to additive of between about 5:1 and 20:1, and preferably in a ratio of between about 8:1 and 10:1. Shaving creams generally contain 5-30% of an emollient oil, a thermoplastic polymeric elastomer additive present in a ratio of emollient oil to additive of between about 5:1 and 20:1, and at least 5% by weight of soap, detergent or a combination thereof.
