  • Patent number: 7462283
Abstract: The present invention teaches, that the removal of particles of any charge from liquid stream is possible by mechanisms other than sieving with good flow and low pressure drop. The use of a weakly charged or neutral surface on the one or more filters within a pre-selected pH range is used. Consequently, particles that are much smaller than the filter pore size are captured with high efficiency. The essentially neutral or weakly charged material filter surface in the filtration liquid may be formed through the proper selection of filter material or a surface modification of the base filters(s) to create the essentially neutral or weakly charged surface.

  • Patent number: 6286897
Abstract: A work vehicle having a supporting frame and ground engaging wheels is provided with a work implement mounted to the rear portion of the work vehicle. The work implement is designed to drag a body behind the vehicle. The operations of the work vehicle is controlled from an operators cab mounted to the supporting frame. The operators cab is provided with a ROPS for protecting the operator. The ROPS is provided with four vertically extending supporting posts, left and right front supporting posts, and left and right rear supporting posts. An operators seat is located in the operators cab and is arranged diagonally to the longitudinal centerline of the vehicle. The operators seat faces both to the front and to the right side. The right rear corner post is provided with at least one operator control that is in the line of sight of the operator when seated in the operators seat.

  • Patent number: 6265011
Abstract: A dog biscuit is disclosed for controlling malodorous breath in dogs. The dog biscuit includes about 8-12 parts by weight whole wheat flour, about 4-6 parts oat bran, about 2-3 parts non-fat dry milk, and about 2-3 parts brown rice flour. The dog biscuit also includes water, vanilla extract, parsley, alfalfa powder, vegetable oil, peppermint extract, tarragon, peppermint leaf powder, and spearmint leaf powder. The vegetable oil includes an antioxidant and is preferably sunflower oil. The parsley is preferably fresh parsley, and the ratio of parsley to whole wheat flour is about 1:4 by weight. The dog biscuit is readily eaten by dogs and effectively neutralizes malodorous breath in them. Also part of the invention is a method of making the dog biscuit.

  • Patent number: 6254011
Abstract: A vehicle is provided with an operators cab having a heating system. The vehicle is powered by an internal combustion engine that is a source of heated fluid. Heated fluid from the engine is directed to a supply line where it is carried to a heat exchanger in communication with the interior of the operators cab. A valve having an electrical actuator regulates the flow of heated fluid through the supply line to the heat exchanger. A non-linear potentiometer controls the actuator so that the heat output of the heat exchanger is linear with respect to the operation of the control knob. The non-linear potentiometer drives the actuator so that the valve is opened at an increasing rate until it its fully opened.

  • Patent number: 3957315
Abstract: A vehicle with at least front and rear sets of brakes includes a pair of brake control valves for normally communicating a source of pressurized fluid to individually control the brakes, a counterpart pair of inversion valves for normally supplying air piloting pressure to the brake control valves, and a retarding valve system communicating a source of pressurized air at one value to one inversion valve and at a proportionately lower pressure to the other inversion valve so that one set of brakes absorbs less energy than the other set of brakes in a retarding mode. The brake control system also includes a service brake valve actuatable to delivery equal pressure to both inversion valves for absorbing equal energy in both sets of brakes in an overriding manner with respect to the retarding valve system.
