  • Publication number: 20230220857
Abstract: A flow restrictor is provided, comprising a first sheet including a flow passage, and a second sheet stacked on the first sheet. A hole is provided in a center of the second sheet. The flow passage includes a groove cut into a surface of the first sheet that communicates with an expansion zone at a peripheral area of the first sheet. A peripheral edge of the second sheet contacts the first sheet in the expansion zone between an inner diameter and an outer diameter of the expansion zone.

  • Patent number: 9816315
Abstract: The window well cover is a cover that is placed on top of the window well. The window well cover is a screened frame that prevents debris from falling into the window well but allows light to pass into the window well in order to provide natural light to enter cellar environments. The window well cover is fitted with a first door and a second door that allows access into the window well for maintenance purposes. The first door and the second door are secured with a locking latch when closed. The window well cover comprises a first door, a second door, a master panel, and a locking latch. The first door and the second door are mounted on the master panel. The locking latch secures the first door and the second door in the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20150305364
Abstract: A process for making a confection is disclosed including exposing the confection, or a precursor thereof, to electromagnetic radiation. The process is capable of manipulating the rheological characteristics of the confection or confection precursor without altering the temperature of the confection, or changing the composition thereof. The changes in rheological characteristics are advantageously temporary and reversible. Finally, the process requires minimal capital expenditure, may readily be incorporated into an existing process an onto existing equipment, and requires minimal energy consumption.

  • Patent number: 8812896
Abstract: Method/system is disclosed for recovering computing capacity and critical applications after a catastrophic failure. The method/system involves distributing the computing capacity over multiple computing clusters, each computing cluster having concurrent access to shared data and software applications of other computing clusters. Sufficient backup computing capacity is reserved on each computing cluster to recover some or all active computing capacity on the other computing clusters. Message traffic throughout the computing clusters is monitored for indications of a catastrophic failure. Upon confirmation of a catastrophic failure at one computing cluster, the workloads of that computing cluster are transferred to the backup computing capacity of the other computing clusters. Software applications that have been designated for recovery are then brought up on the backup computing capacity of the other computing clusters.
