Patent number: 10837480Abstract: A hollow wall anchor includes a wall penetrating component having an externally threaded portion and a wall penetrating end portion, and a body component having a wall face engaging portion and an internally threaded portion that receives the externally threaded portion of the wall penetrating component. Rotation of the components together in a first direction for wall penetration moves both the wall penetrating component and the body component into the wall until the wall face engaging portion of the body component engages the wall to limit further rotation of the body component while the wall penetrating component continues to rotate such that interacting threads of the two components pull the wall penetrating component further into the body component. As the wall penetrating component is pulled further into the body component one or more retention arms are expanded outwardly behind a rear surface of the wall.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2017Date of Patent: November 17, 2020Assignee: THE HILLMAN GROUP, INC.Inventors: Byron K. Grice, Wayne R. Mayville, Michael J. Schmidt, Jordan D. Shoenhair, Gary J. Schorr

Patent number: 10838285Abstract: A locking hinge device may be selectively engaged in accordance with different configurations between elements of the device. The elements may include a locking gear configured to travel along an axis to engage a receiving gear. The elements may include a second receiving gear to which the locking gear is engaged. A system comprising the locking hinge device may be locked at an opening angle between components of the system when elements of a locking hinge device are selectively engaged in a hinge of the system. The system may be a locking hinge system for a camera mount and the components may include a component configured to couple to a camera. The camera may be a body-wearable camera.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2019Date of Patent: November 17, 2020Assignee: Axon Enterprise, Inc.Inventor: Wayne R. Mayville

Patent number: 10390618Abstract: A wall mounted object support system includes a grid member with a peripheral portion proximate a wall and a body portion offset from the peripheral portion and spaced further away from the wall than the peripheral portion. The grid member is formed by a plurality of spaced apart first elongated rod or wire portions each running in a first direction and a plurality of spaced apart second rod or wire portions each running in a second direction that is substantially perpendicular to the first direction. One or more of a support block and/or pivoting anchor components may be used to hold the grid member against the wall.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2017Date of Patent: August 27, 2019Assignee: THE HILLMAN GROUP, INC.Inventors: Gary E. Will, Byron K. Grice, Michael J. Schmidt, Wayne R. Mayville

Patent number: 6142058Abstract: A weapon comprising a combination lethal weapon and less lethal gas-powered weapon mounted below the lethal weapon. The less lethal weapon which fires projectiles is independently operable when dismounted and included bolt, gas supply and magazine features.Type: GrantFiled: November 11, 1998Date of Patent: November 7, 2000Inventors: Wayne R. Mayville, Thomas E. Wergen

Patent number: 6131949Abstract: A venting system venting inflated inflatables at a predetermined time period after inflation utilizes non-flaming pyrotechnic materials. The system is used in the restraint system of a vehicle and senses the initiation of a crash pulse to control the passage of inflation fluid to the inflatable. A pyrotechnic delay column responds to the inflation gas to activate an output member connected to the outside surface of the inflatable to weaken the threads of the fabric. As adjacent threads weaken, a rip is created which very quickly cause the inflatable to deflate. In an alternative embodiment, an initiator responsive to an actuating signal generated by a crash pulse activates the pyrotechnic delay column.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 1999Date of Patent: October 17, 2000Assignee: The B. F. Goodrich CompanyInventors: Donald J. Lewis, Wayne R. Mayville, Eric A. Gebhard

Patent number: 4671177Abstract: A detonator is formed with a housing having an insert therein. The insert has an axial bore therethrough containing a primer charge, a donor charge and an output charge. The primer charge is carried in a cup like holder disposed in the insert bore and having flash holes therein providing continuity between the primer charge and the donor charge. The donor charge is separated from the output charge by a flyer plate and a barrel through which the flyer plate is propelled into the output charge upon detonation of the donor charge. An output disc at the end of the insert confines the output charge until it is detonated. The insert has spaced and radially displaced openings in the sidewall thereof in communication with the output charge and the donor charge to permit gas to escape from these charges when the detonator is subjected to elevated temperatures.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 1986Date of Patent: June 9, 1987Assignee: Unidynamics Phoenix, Inc.Inventor: Wayne R.
