  • Publication number: 20250076255
Abstract: A centering assembly for an eddy current probe having a shaft includes a body portion configured to couple to the shaft and a plurality of wheels rotatably coupled to the body portion. At least a portion of each of the plurality of wheels projects beyond an outer surface of the body portion to engage a conduit under test.

Inventors: Tom O’Dell, Evan Lloyd, Brooks McKinney, Wayne Rector, William Frederick Ziegenhagen
  • Publication number: 20250076252
Abstract: An eddy current probe system includes a probe head, and a length of delivery tubing coupled to the probe head for pushing or pulling the probe head into or out of a conduit under test. The delivery tubing comprises an ultra high molecular weight (UHMW) polyethylene material sufficient to enable insertion of the probe head into a convoluted, lengthy, or damaged conduit under test.

  • Publication number: 20250027906
Abstract: A centering assembly for an eddy current probe having a shaft comprises a one-piece centering assembly comprising a first half and a second half joined by a hinge. Each of the first half and the second half comprise a plurality of cantilevered legs projecting radially about a central aperture. The centering assembly further includes at least one securement mechanism for securing the one-piece centering assembly about the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20240053298
Abstract: A centering assembly for an eddy current probe includes a foot element having a plurality of resilient cantilevered legs projecting radially about a central aperture and an adjustment element moveable relative to the foot element for exerting a radial force on the plurality of resilient cantilevered legs. Movement of the adjustment element allows an outside diameter of the plurality of resilient cantilevered legs to be maintained consistent as the plurality of resilient cantilevered legs are worn down during use.

  • Patent number: 10208668
Abstract: A cooling system for a gas turbine is provided that may include a drive shaft, a shield of a combustor of the gas turbine engine, and a conduit. The drive shaft may be configured to mechanically couple a compressor of the gas turbine engine to a turbine of the gas turbine engine. The shield may be positioned between the compressor and the turbine. The combustor may be configured to drive the turbine. The conduit may be configured to supply a cooling fluid to a gap between an outer surface of the drive shaft and the shield of the combustor.
