    Abstract: A switched mode power supply (SMPS) is disclosed. The switched mode power supply (SMPS) includes a controller sub-circuit that generates an output signal that drives a switch. The controller sub-circuit generates a bias voltage without using a bias regulator for a sub-circuit of the switched mode power supply that is different from the controller sub-circuit when the controller sub-circuit is coupled to the sub-circuit of the switched mode power supply.
