  • Patent number: 8653345
Abstract: Devices, apparatus, and methods of using a replaceable nut with built on fret for a stringed instruments, such as for guitars and banjos. The novel combined zero glide nut with fret can be used as a zero glide nut system that can be substituted for the existing standard nuts on stringed instruments. The novel combined zero glide nut with fret eliminates the need for filing and adjusting the slots on the nuts, since strings do not harshly rub against inner sides and do not rub against the bottom of the slots in the nut. Compared to a conventional nut, the zero glide improves tuning stability, playability without string buzz on the fret, does not wear slots as occurs in a conventional nut and is more easily installed than a conventional nut.

  • Patent number: 6669413
Abstract: A hole-locating device for use in the field for locating and assisting in the drilling of holes in cut ends of tubing includes a body having an outer wall with a plurality of outer flat surfaces and an inner cylindrical wall spaced from said outer wall. The outer wall having a pair of aligned openings on opposite sides of the side wall and the inner wall having a pair of openings spaced 180° apart, wherein the openings in the outer wall and the openings in the inner wall are in alignment. In cutting aligned openings in a tube, the tube is received within an open end of the body in the spacing between the inner wall and the outer wall and a drill bit is placed in adjacent openings in the outer wall and inner wall for receiving a drill bit therein.

  • Patent number: 6350047
Abstract: A recessed downlight wall wash reflector assembly and method of installing the same. The reflector assembly is installable from below the plane of a ceiling into a standard mounting frame for a recessed downlight reflector having a similarly sized light exit aperture. In the preferred embodiment configured for use as a single wall washer, the reflector assembly has a downlight reflector, a window cutout in the wall of the downlight reflector and a resilient wall wash reflector attached to the reflector assembly such that it is positioned behind the window cutout. The resilient wall wash reflector has flexible sides which flex inward, allowing the reflector assembly to fit through the mounting frame opening during installation. Once the assembly has cleared the frame opening, the flexible sides return to their original shape.
