  • Patent number: 9706497
Abstract: A method for a near field communication circuit includes entering a low power mode and subsequently determining to exit the low power mode. The method further includes generating an open loop clock signal and providing the open loop clock signal to circuits of the near field communication circuit during a low power mode exit duration. Subsequently a reference clock signal is received from a host and used to clock the near field communication circuit.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 2015
Date of Patent: July 11, 2017
    Assignee: NXP USA, INC.
Inventors: Yushi Tian, Wayne (Siwei) Tang, Handiono Santosa
  • Patent number: 9357332
Abstract: A near field communications (NFC) device is disclosed that interacts with other NFC devices to exchange information and/or the data. The NFC device can include a plurality of secure elements each configured to store one or more card emulation instances. Each card emulation instance is associated with an application identification (AID) and a priority value. The NFC device can route communications between another NFC device and plurality of secure elements based on each card emulation instance's associated AID and priority value.

Date of Patent: May 31, 2016
    Assignee: Broadcom Corporation
Inventors: Wayne (Siwei) Tang, Ash Kapur, Mohamed Awad, Gan Yang, Deepak Kumar Gauba, Husein Merchant, Sherry Smith

  • Publication number: 20090172062
Abstract: A fast Fourier transform (FFT) is performed on first-fourth input data points. Real and imaginary portions of the first input data point are stored in first and second registers. Real and imaginary portions of the second input data point are stored in third and fourth registers. Real and imaginary portions of the third input data point are stored in fifth and sixth registers. Real and imaginary portions of the fourth input data point are stored in seventh and eighth registers. Operations are performed in place in the first-eight registers and in a ninth register to generate a first-fourth output data points stored in the registers that represent an FFT of the first-fourth input data points. The radix-4 FFT may be cascaded to perform higher bit-level FFTs on sets of data points. Furthermore, the data points may be reordered between cascaded radix-4 FFTs to enable efficient use of memory.
