Abstract: An apparatus for use in a SpaceWire-based network is configured to send and receive data packets, and process data included in a received data packet. A header of the received data packet is stored in a buffer whilst the data is being processed, a processed data packet including the stored header and the processed data is generated, and the processed data packet is transmitted. The header of the received data packet may be modified, and the modified header attached to the processed data to generate the processed data packet. When the data packet is received via a first port, the processed data packet may be transmitted via the first port, or may be transmitted via a second port.

Abstract: A new type of light bulb is being invented, in which its power level (dimming) control circuit (FIG. 2) is integrated with the bulb. The desired power level can also be learned through the control logic (FIG. 3) integrated with bulb. The new invented bulb can be a compact fluorescent type 100 of bulb or a LED type of bulb 101. The invented bulb can be connected to an existing lamp holder (screw type) and people can change its power level (dimming) by only using the existing switch without any external circuit or device.

A system for cutting vegetable products includes a transport system configured for transporting vegetable products in single file toward an outlet, a plurality of cutting machines, a collection system disposed downstream of the cutting machines and configured to collect the vegetables after cutting, and a selection device configured to selectively couple the outlet of the transport system to one or more of the cutting machines. The plurality of cutting machines may be mounted upon a transport device to selectively move one of the cutting machines into communication with the outlet of the transport system.

An aspect includes receiving a plurality of policy rules by a policy engine of the computer memory, wherein a first policy rule specifies applying a first data reduction scheme to data in the computer memory based on the data matching first characteristics, wherein a second policy rule specifies applying a second data reduction scheme to data in the computer memory based on the data matching second characteristics, wherein the first data reduction scheme is different from the second data reduction scheme. Another aspect includes determining, by the policy engine, that first data in the computer memory matches the first characteristics, and that second data in the computer memory matches the second characteristics. Yet another aspect includes applying the first data reduction scheme to the first data, and applying the second data reduction scheme to the second data.

Abstract: A method for accessing, processing, presenting, and/or storing electronic medical record (EMR) information on a touch-sensitive display includes reading EMR information, displaying at least a portion of the EMR information on a touch-sensitive sliding timeline, detecting finger swipe or similar gestures, and scrolling the sliding timeline so that a different portion of the EMR information is displayed chronologically on the touch-sensitive sliding timeline. The resolution of the timeline can be expanded or collapsed in response to pinch gestures. The timeline is divided into a columns, each column including icons representing medical related events. A second timeline having a different time resolution from the first timeline is used for navigating the medical related events. Different levels of detail regarding the medical related events can be viewed in different detail panes. An EMR access device and system are also disclosed, which are configured to access and present EMR information.
