  • Patent number: 11997230
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for validating the origination of an incoming customer call on a wireless communication network may include receiving a SIP invite message at the wireless communication network when the call is initiated, determining whether the SIP invite message includes one or more indicators indicating that the call originated within the wireless communication network from a device with a SIM registered in the wireless communication network, and writing a classification code to a database indicating that the call is validated if the SIP invite message includes the one or more indicators. The method may further include receiving the call at an agent computer device with caller identification information, querying the database via the agent computer device according to the caller identification information to obtain the classification code of the customer call, and suppressing a step used for call authentication if the classification code indicates that the call is validated.

  • Publication number: 20240167349
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a managed pressure drilling method and system that accommodates timely and accurate control of surface pressure in order to maintain appropriate wellbore pressure of a well. The system and method can use a minimal set of inputs, such as a measured pressure input, with a control software hierarchy described herein to improve the accuracy of the controlled pressure and automation of drilling rig components over conventional Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) systems. Because the method compensates for the real pressure rate of change using the pressure input, the method and system allow the implementation of MPD techniques in legacy applications and drilling rigs. The system and method can reduce human error and inefficiencies that directly degrade the quality of MPD techniques and improve wellbore drilling and hydrocarbon production performance within the industry.

  • Publication number: 20240167415
Abstract: Methods, systems, and vehicles that control the temperature of a device included in the vehicle are presented herein. The temperature of the device is controlled by ventilating the device with drivetrain air, such as transmission cooling air. In some embodiments, the device is at a greater temperature than the drivetrain air, which cools the device. In other embodiments, the device is at a lesser temperature than the drivetrain air, which heats the device. The drivetrain air is provided to the device through an exhaust duct coupled to the vehicle's transmission. The drivetrain exhaust air is preferably circulated by the transmission. The transmission may be a continuously variable transmission. The device may be an oxygen sensor that is coupled to an engine exhaust pipe. The oxygen sensor is thermally coupled to the engine exhaust and the engine exhaust pipe, which are at greater temperatures than the transmission exhaust air.

  • Publication number: 20240169359
Abstract: An item return transaction for an item is identified at a transaction terminal. The item is authenticated using multiple factors at least some of which are independent of item code identification for the item. A fraud score is calculated based on the multiple factors, item code identification, and data that is specific to a customer associated with the transaction, specific to the item, specific to a store associated with the transaction terminal, and specific to a retailer associated with the store. The fraud score and a customer-return grade for the customer are processed to determine whether the transaction can complete at the terminal without assistance or whether the transaction is to be held in abeyance for an audit (onsite audit or remote network-based audit). In an embodiment, the t terminal is a Self-Service Terminal (SST) and the transaction is a self-item return transaction conducted by a customer at the terminal.
