In one example, a mounting post extends rearwardly from the brace body and the brace portion includes left and right brace members each having an upper end portion configured to attach to and pivot about the mounting post.

Abstract: An Interactive Home Security System with multiple features including: 1. An intercom 2. Motion detector lights 3. Various alarm sounds 4. Recorded play back 5. Recorded voice warning. This integrated system is a simplified consolidated construction of several home security system components. The controls used for various settings and to operate the system are all in one console unit that is stationed inside the house. The features include motion detector lights, an alarm system that sends out a siren or voice recording, recording of sounds in the alert area to be played back at a later time and an intercom system to communicate with people around the house. The complete system can expand to cover more of the living area depending on how many components are assembled.

Abstract: A variable valve operating system for an internal combustion engine that has a plurality of electromagnetic actuators for the intake and exhaust valves in a multi-cylinder engine. This engine does not have the conventional lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, cam, timing chain and gear. Computerized software controls and executes the duration of valve opening and closing, lift, timing, and synchronization of the valve action to the crankshaft. This allows a dynamic operation of the engine to effect various selected performance modes. One mode can be selected for the desired driving condition. An engine built comprising this current invention will require fewer parts, be more reliable and less machine work to manufacture as a savings and benefit to all.

Abstract: A propane bottle recycler comprising a bottle station, first and second propane collection tank, compressor, liquid propane storage tank, bottle crusher, and crushed bottle storage compartment. The bottle station comprises a bottle manifold and bottle station frame, and the bottle manifold is pivotally connected to the bottle station frame. Propane bottles are placed in receiving cavities in the bottle manifold and held in place with cam levers, and the bottle manifold is raised to a vertical position. The propane drains out of the propane bottles, through propane hoses into a propane manifold, into the first and second collection tanks, and to a compressor, which repressurizes the propane. The propane is then stored in a liquid propane storage tank. The used propane bottles are crushed by the bottle crusher and stored in the crushed bottle storage compartment.

A transfer unit with an overhead conveying unit and a method for delivering printed sheet material is also provided.

Abstract: A system for measuring on-line the energy content and flow of a gas mixture within a pipeline. The system includes a gas chromatograph for producing a time varying signal related to the component composition of the gas mixture. The pressure and temperature of the gas mixture is measured and these signals as well as the time varying signal from the chromatograph are converted to digital form. These signals are applied to control means which produces energy and flow rate signals of the gas mixture in the pipeline based on the on-line pressure, temperature and component composition. These signals are corrected by supercompressibility factor signals as a function of component composition.

Abstract: Hydrofoil swim fin assemblies, each assembly comprising a streamlined foot housing and a separate hydrofoil blade mechanism which is pivotably connected to the foot housing so that by rotation the angle of attack of the blade is reversed between each up and each down leg stroke of the swimmer. Furthermore, the sail portion of the blade mechanism is flexed at the beginning of each stroke, so as to be convex on the top and concave on the bottom during the down-stroke and visa versa during the up-stroke. Thus, the forward propulsion of the swimmer is enhanced by hydrofoil action during both the up and the down strokes.
