    Abstract: A tool for the installation and removal of suspension springs from appliances such as washing machines includes a handle having an upper end and a base end with a spring installation and removal member pivotally interconnected to the upper end and the base end capable of receiving various extension adapters for adjusting the length of the tool to fit appliances of various makes and designs. The spring installation and removal member includes a manually graspable z-shaped hand lever portion and a spring arm that are coplanar with each other whereupon the base end of the tool, or any of the extension adapters, are fitted on the circular plate of the washing machine and the spring arm is hooked on to the upper end of the suspension springs so that pushing down on the hand lever portion facilitates suspension spring removal and installation.
