  • Patent number: 7865621
Abstract: A bridge for multi-network communications is provided. A voice bridge includes an open settlement protocol (OSP) compliant interface for establishing inter-domain voice connections. The voice bridge facilitates connections between OSP compliant and non-OSP compliant networks and interfaces with an OSP server. A call set-up component processes requests from OSP compliant and non-OSP compliant networks. An OSP interface facilitates OSP compliant reporting to the OSP server. Other embodiments comprising additional features, such as address masking, are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20080101637
Abstract: A sound conductor for a hearing apparatus is provided. A first end is fastenable to an acoustic unit of the hearing apparatus and a second end of which is fastenable to a housing of the hearing apparatus, with a middle longitudinal curve being defined for the sound conductor, with the sound conductor comprising at least one flexible section, which can be deformed in a reversible fashion, and with a length of the middle longitudinal curve being changeable from one first value to a second value by deforming the flexible section of the sound conductor, and the middle longitudinal curve maintaining the second value for the length until a predetermined minimal force for deforming the flexible section is exerted onto the sound conductor. Furthermore, a corresponding hearing apparatus is described with a housing and an acoustic unit, which are connected to one another with the aid of a sound conductor.

  • Publication number: 20070286444
Abstract: The size of hearing apparatuses and in particular of hearing devices is to be reduced. To this end, provision is made to combine a rocker-like actuator of the hearing apparatus for manually adjusting a parameter of a signal processing unit for pressing from a neutral position in a first adjusting position or a second adjusting position with an on/off switch. To this end, the rocker-like actuator can be pressed into an additional switching position. The multiple functionalities of the actuator allow installation space to be conserved and thus allow the housing of the hearing apparatus to be simplified and minimized.

  • Publication number: 20070248234
Abstract: Hearing apparatuses and in particular hearing devices are to be designed smaller. To this end, provision is made to integrate an electrical control facility for controlling the hearing apparatus into the cover for covering a programming connection of the hearing apparatus. This multifunctionality of the cover allows installation space to be saved. It is particularly favorable if an actuating element of an electrical push button is mounted to the same bolt, to which the cover itself is also mounted.

  • Publication number: 20070047749
Abstract: The object is to automate and simplify the programming of a hearing aid or some other hearing apparatus. Toward that end provision is made to provide the hearing aid with a transponder device which is connected to a signal processing means and an antenna device of the hearing aid. By means of the transponder device it is possible to extract energy for the signal processing device, for example, from a data signal received by the antenna device. As a result it is possible to program, by wireless means, a hearing aid which is not equipped with a battery or which is not switched on.
