    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to resource allocation among a plurality of clients, for using a cloud-based service, e.g., a generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) service. A first target amount of resource and a second target amount of resource can be allocated to a first client and a second client (respectively). A first and a second client, a first target amount of resource can be allocated to a first client, and a second target amount of resource can be allocated to a second client for using the service. A request can be received from a third client for allocating resources; estimating that (i) the first client is using a first subset of the first target amount and not using a second subset of first target amount, and (ii) the second client is using a third subset of the second target amount and not using a fourth subset of second target amount. It can be determined that the second subset is greater than the fourth subset.

    Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method include receiving a request for allocating graphical processing unit (GPU) resources for performing an operation. The request includes metadata identifying a client identifier (ID) associated with a client, throughput, and latency of the operation. A resource limit is determined for performing the operation based on the metadata. Attributes associated with each GPU resource of a plurality of GPU resources available for assignment are obtained. The attribute is analyzed that is associated with each GPU resource with respect to the resource limit. A set of GPU resources is identified from the plurality of GPU resources based on the analysis. A dedicated AI cluster is generated by patching the set of GPU resources within a single cluster. The dedicated AI cluster reserves a portion of a computation capacity of a computing system for a period of time and the dedicated AI cluster is allocated to the client associated with the client ID.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for detecting surface haze of materials, comprising: optionally, preliminary inspection, which is conducted on materials, to identify the materials with no visible surface defects; and surface haze inspection, to detect the surface haze of the materials; wherein an optical filter module is configured in surface haze inspection setup to filter off the photoluminescence signal of the materials in the light path to the detector, so as to avoid the photoluminescence signal being detected by the detector. The invention further provides a setup for detecting surface haze of materials. By using the invented method and setup for detecting surface haze, it is possible to accurately obtain the surface haze value and/or distribution of the materials.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a modified monocrystal high-nickel ternary material, a preparation method therefor and use thereof. The preparation method includes: pre-sintering a high-nickel ternary hydroxide precursor under a condition of pure oxygen to obtain a pre-sintered material; fully mixing the pre-sintered material with a micro-powder of lithium hydroxide, a nano-dopant and an alumina pellet, and subjecting a mixture to a first sintering in a pure oxygen atmosphere after the alumina pellet is removed by sieving, followed by natural cooling in a pure oxygen atmosphere after the first sintering is completed to obtain a first sintered material; crushing the first sintered material, fully mixing it with a nano-coating agent, and then subjecting a mixed material to a second sintering in a pure oxygen atmosphere to obtain a second sintered material; and subjecting the second sintered material to crushing, sieving and demagnetizing to obtain the modified monocrystal high-nickel ternary material.

Enzymatic and ISE biosensors may quickly and accurately identify concentrations of key biomarkers present in a biofluid sample which may assess, in combination with monitored physiological signs, a human patient's stress response.

    Abstract: An encoder implements a residual-free palette encoding mode in which a block of pixels is used to derive a palette table having a number of palette colors less than a number of pixel colors in the block of pixels, and to derive a color map representing each pixel of the block with a corresponding index number associated with a palette color that most closely matches the pixel's color. The calculations of residuals representing errors between the predicted palette colors and the actual pixel colors are omitted during the encoding process, thereby facilitating implementation of less complex palette mode encoder hardware at the expense of slight loss of color accuracy. Moreover, when multiple encoding modes are available, the encoder can employ the residual-free palette encoding mode when the rate-distortion cost or other cost of using this mode is determined to be the lowest cost of the plurality of encoding modes.

    Abstract: SiC split-gate MOSFET integrating a high-speed freewheeling diode and a preparation method is disclosed. The MOSFET adopts split-gate design to reduce a switching loss. To avoid a problem of gate oxide reliability brought by a split-gate structure, a P-type buried layer is incorporated to reduce an electric field strength of a gate oxide layer at an edge of the polysilicon. Further, by incorporating an N-type conduction layer, a current is introduced from a trench to a drift region of the device. In addition, the high-speed freewheeling diode based on MOS structure is introduced on the other side of a cellular of the MOSFET. Relative to a conventional approach, the high-speed freewheeling diode of the present disclosure uses a surface trailing of the P-type buried layer to form a trench region, i.e., the on-site voltage drop of the high-speed freewheeling diode is minimized without increasing a number of additional photolithographic steps.
