    Abstract: A coral extract for skin whitening, moisture retention, elasticity improvement, anti-inflammation and occlusion of wounds and its extracting method is provided. The coral extract is extracted from Briareum excavatum. The extracting method comprises: extracting with organic solvents, partitioning with water and ethyl acetate and separating via column chromatography. The coral extract can be applied in the field of skin whitening, moisture retention, elasticity improvement, anti-inflammation and occlusion of wounds.
