  • Publication number: 20100053062
Abstract: The present invention discloses a single-level driver is programmed to generate a plurality of segment voltage signals. A multicolor backlight modulation device receives the segment voltage signals and modulating a portion of the segment voltage signals to generate a common voltage signal and at least two synchronous color-separation backlight driving signals driving a backlight source to emitting different-color backlights. The common voltage signal cooperates with the segment voltage signals to form voltage differences which drive a mono-pixel to turn on or turn off in a time-division mode and allow different-color backlights to pass the mono-pixel at the same time. The time-division different-color backlights are accumulated by vision persistence to present a chromatic effect on the mono-pixel. The resultant colors can be intelligently varied via programming the segment voltage signals to achieve diversified multicolor effects.

  • Publication number: 20100039365
Abstract: The present invention modulates a plurality of sequentially generated common voltage signals into a new common voltage signal and synchronous color-separation backlight control signals turning on different-color backlight sources. The new common voltage signals and segment voltage signals cooperate to form voltage differences making a mono-pixel allow different-color backlights to pass and controlling the mono-pixel to turn on or turn off in a time-division mode. The effects of the time-division different-color backlights are accumulated by vision persistence to form different colors on the mono-pixel. Thus, the present invention can enable a monochromatic LCD chip and a mono-pixel to present a multi-color effect.

  • Publication number: 20100033416
Abstract: A row (common electrode)-modulation gray-level LCD device and a method thereof, which use a row-modulation device to input at least two sequentially generated original common voltage signals to the common electrode of the same row, whereby the sequentially generated original common voltage signals cooperate with the segment voltage signals to generate voltage differences in the common electrode and turn on or turn off the same monochromatic pixel in a time-division mode. The accumulated effect of the time-division turn-on and turn-off states enables the same monochromatic pixel to present gray-pixel.

  • Patent number: 7462472
Abstract: The structures of Edema Factor alone and Edema Factor bound to calmodulin without substrate has been crystallized and its structure determined by x-ray crystallography. Based upon these crystal structures, a method assaying for inhibitors of infection by a bacteria is presented which comprises obtaining a potential inhibitor, obtaining a calmodulin activated adenylyl cyclase exotoxin, obtaining calmodulin, admixing the potential inhibitor, the exotoxin, and the calmodulin, and assaying to determine whether or not the potential inhibitor inhibits production of cAMP by exotoxin.

  • Publication number: 20080287384
Abstract: Provided are assays and methods of identifying antiangiogenic agents including contacting an endothelial cell with a putative antiangiogenic agent and assaying for activation of Rap-1 in the endothelial cell. Also provided are methods of inhibiting angiogenesis and treating conditions associated with improper angiogenesis. Compositions comprising activators of Rap-1 and methods of activating the Rap-1 signaling pathway are also provided. Methods of inhibiting chemotaxis and angiogenesis by contacting cells with Rho inhibitors are provided.

  • Patent number: 6107076
Abstract: A soluble form of adenylyl cyclase and methods of its use in screening for stimulators and inhibitors of adenylyl cyclase activity are disclosed. In one embodiment, a chimera of type I and type II adenylyl cyclases is provided. This chimera lacks transmembrane domains characteristic of adenylyl cyclases, rendering the recombinant product soluble, while retaining adenylyl cyclase function.
