    Abstract: A heat recovery system for hydrogen production with a solid oxide electrolysis cell, including a water storage tank, a solar cell panel, a low-temperature metal hydrogen storage tank, an evaporator, a high-temperature metal hydrogen storage tank, a heat exchanger, a solid oxide electrolysis cell, a separator, and a reactor is provided. After water in the water storage tank sequentially passes through the solar cell panel, the low-temperature metal hydrogen storage tank, the evaporator, the high-temperature metal hydrogen storage tank, and the heat exchanger for multi-stage heat exchange, water vapor reaching the working temperature enters the solid oxide electrolysis cell. The hydrogen generated after electrochemical reaction and unused water vapor flow out from the solid oxide electrolysis cell, firstly exchange heat with to-be-reacted water vapor through the heat exchanger and then enter the separator.

    Abstract: A composition of an enhanced silicone rubber with a specific formulation of versatile self-adhesive modifier is provided herewith, where the modifier is in the form of a pre-mix independent additive. The modifier can be applied to commercially available common liquid silicone rubbers, particularly food contact grade and non-post curing grade liquid silicone rubber, and the resulting enhanced liquid silicone rubber demonstrates significantly increased adhesive strength, particularly on plastic substrates. The modification of the liquid silicone rubber is efficient, the process of which does not require specific requirements or harsh conditions, and the process is highly cost-efficient.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for growth of silicon carbide over a layer comprising graphene and/or hexagonal boron nitride, and related articles, are generally described. In some embodiments, a SiC film is fabricated over a layer comprising graphene and/or hexagonal boron nitride, which in turn is disposed over a substrate. The layer and/or the substrate may be lattice-matched with the SiC film to reduce defect density in the SiC film. The fabricated SiC film may then be removed from the substrate via, for example, a stressor attached to the SiC film. In certain cases, the layer serves as a reusable platform for growing SiC films and also serves a release layer that allows fast, precise, and repeatable release at the layer surface.

    Abstract: A method for recycling polyethylene terephthalate, including obtaining flakes of polyethylene terephthalate which are re-polymerized using heat and/or a chain extender combined with an anti-yellowing agent to yield an average molecular weight of at least 40,000 Da and a tunable intrinsic viscosity of approximately 0.5 dl/g to 0.8 dl/g. Polyethylene terephthalate pellets are produced having a color deviation of approximately 2.5 or less from the re-polymerized 100 percent post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate flakes as raw material for formation of polyethylene terephthalate products. When compared to available rPET bottles, CIELAB color values show indiscernible color differences with the high quality rPET produced. Consequently, the high-quality rPET pellets produced are capable manufacturing PET bottles with 100% PCR content and a high number of repeated recycling cycles.
