    Abstract: Provided are a micro-display unit and a display panel. A first epitaxial structure and a second epitaxial structure of the micro-display unit are stacked; and a light-emitting element formed by the first epitaxial structure and a light-emitting element formed by the second epitaxial structure are connected in series. A first conductive contact portion is located on one side of the first epitaxial structure, and when the first epitaxial structure and the second epitaxial structure are aligned and bonded, the first epitaxial structure and the second epitaxial structure are directly bonded through a bonding layer, then a first via hole is formed at the position corresponding to a first conductive contact portion, and a second via hole corresponding to a connection electrode is formed in the second epitaxial structure.

    Abstract: A method for recycling polyethylene terephthalate, including obtaining flakes of polyethylene terephthalate which are re-polymerized using heat and/or a chain extender combined with an anti-yellowing agent to yield an average molecular weight of at least 40,000 Da and a tunable intrinsic viscosity of approximately 0.5 dl/g to 0.8 dl/g. Polyethylene terephthalate pellets are produced having a color deviation of approximately 2.5 or less from the re-polymerized 100 percent post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate flakes as raw material for formation of polyethylene terephthalate products. When compared to available rPET bottles, CIELAB color values show indiscernible color differences with the high quality rPET produced. Consequently, the high-quality rPET pellets produced are capable manufacturing PET bottles with 100% PCR content and a high number of repeated recycling cycles.

Four bidirectional barbed sutures are implanted in the repaired tendon for approximating the free end of the proximal tendon section with the free end of the distal tendon section. Each of the four bidirectional barbed sutures includes a proximal section having proximal barbs that engage the proximal tendon section, a distal section having distal barbs that engage the distal tendon section, and a stop located between the proximal and distal barbs that engages the approximated free ends of the proximal and distal tendon sections. The bidirectional barbed sutures have first suture bites and second suture bites that are shorter than the first suture bites.

    Abstract: An anti-fogging and bacteria-resistant liquid silicone rubber additive composition is provided. This composition includes 20-30 wt. % of a silicone network elastomer, 30-70 wt. % of an anti-fogging network-forming surfactant, and 4-10 wt. % of a Si—H reactive crosslinker. The anti-fogging network-forming surfactant contains hydrophilic and hydrophobic components, allowing it to integrate with the silicone network elastomer to form a partial interpenetrative network. The Si—H reactive crosslinker facilitates crosslinking of the surfactant with the elastomer, further enhancing the composition's anti-fogging and bacteria-resistant properties.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for growth of silicon carbide over a layer comprising graphene and/or hexagonal boron nitride, and related articles, are generally described. In some embodiments, a SiC film is fabricated over a layer comprising graphene and/or hexagonal boron nitride, which in turn is disposed over a substrate. The layer and/or the substrate may be lattice-matched with the SiC film to reduce defect density in the SiC film. The fabricated SiC film may then be removed from the substrate via, for example, a stressor attached to the SiC film. In certain cases, the layer serves as a reusable platform for growing SiC films and also serves a release layer that allows fast, precise, and repeatable release at the layer surface.
