    Abstract: A multimodal lateral flow assay (LFA) system for non-invasive biomarker monitoring is provided. The system includes a multimodal LFA strip having a sample-loading region for receiving a biological sample, a conjugate region containing triple-mode probes, and a membrane zone with immobilized capture and secondary antibodies that form respective test and control lines upon binding the probes. The triple-mode probes generate colorimetric, fluorescence, and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) signals. A laser-emitting module illuminates the membrane zone to excite fluorescence and SERS responses, which are detected by one or more optical detection devices. A processor performs multimodal signal mapping by analyzing fluorescence and SERS outputs to determine the quantitative concentration of the biomarker in the sample. The system enables sensitive, quantitative, and non-invasive detection of biomarkers across multiple optical modalities.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a composition and method for preparing microencapsulated phase change materials. The composition comprises oil phase a component and a water phase component; (1) the oil phase component comprises, based on the total weight of the oil phase component: —from 40 wt % to 99 wt % of phase change materials; —from 0.5 wt % to 30 wt % of aliphatic isocyanates having at least two NCO-functional groups; and —from 0.5 wt % to 30 wt % of aromatic isocyanates having at least two NCO-functional groups; (2) the water phase component comprises: —water in amount of at least 3 times the total weight of the oil phase component and —water soluble amine compounds having at least two NH-functional groups, wherein the mole ratio of NH— to NCO— is from 0.5:1 to 3:1. The method is a robust and efficient process, which does not require any organic solvents or surfactants.

    Abstract: A method for optimizing the transient performance of a blade pump involves creating initial design models for the blade pump and an impeller, as well as a full-flow simulation model for the blade pump startup process. Structural parameters of the impeller are selected as design variables. Based on the initial design model and the full-flow simulation model, transient numerical calculations during the startup process are conducted using CFD simulation software. The transient external characteristics during the startup process include transient head and transient efficiency. The transient head and transient efficiency during the startup process are processed, resulting in weighted average head and weighted average efficiency. The design variables are used as input parameters, with the weighted average head and weighted average efficiency as response values.
