Abstract: The invention relates to a method for measuring vertebral axial rotation comprising: obtaining an image of a vertebra to be measured; determining centers of ellipses of pedicles of the vertebra projected on the image; measuring a distance between the centers of the ellipses; measuring a distance between a center of one of the pedicles and a medial axis of the vertebra; obtaining at least one shape parameter of the vertebra; and calculating an axial rotation angle of the vertebra according to the shape parameter and the measured distances. Machine-readable medium which can execute a method of the invention is also provided.
